Halston Sage isn’t exactly a newcomer to the industry but she’s still young enough to have a lot experience to gain and a lot of years left to make a solid career out of one that’s already seen her star alongside some very big names. She’s a Cali girl through and through and loves every minute of it and she’s also a hard worker that enjoys what she does and tends to have a lot of fun on whatever set she’s on. The youth of the film industry at this point have a big task ahead as they start to get older and that’s to take over when the old guard is ready to finally retire. That probably won’t be for some time yet and the transition will possibly happen when people aren’t looking but you can bet that actors like Sage are going to be right there to handle the reins when it comes time. At the very least you can get the feeling that the future of TV and films is going to be in good hands.
Of course, every generation has had to deal with this thought. That being said, here are a few things about her you might not have known.
10. She’s obsessed with 80s movies.
Is anyone else encouraged by this? She loves 80s movies despite having been born in the early 90’s, missing out on the entire decade. That means that someone turned her on to the 80’s or she found it all on her own and managed to fall in love with the idea of the decade as well as its films. Now that’s called doing it right.
9. She’s a big dog lover.
There are cat people and there are dog people, and then there are those that are just all-around animal lovers. Dogs are a lot of work but at the same time they give back just as much love as you give, sometimes even more. Dogs tend to be a lot friendlier at times than other animals depending on how you treat them and what kind of care they receive.
8. She attended an all-girls school.
Halston actually feels like she missed out on the average high-school experience by having to attend an all-girls school. That’s kind of debatable to be honest since in a single-sex school there are just as many positives as there are negatives it would seem. For one there’s probably a lot more order in a single-sex school, at least in theory.
7. She counts Scarlett Johansson as her inspiration.
A lot of young women seem like they would call Scarlett their inspiration since it’s kind of nice to see a woman kick some major butt on screen. Of course there are a few women you could credit with this ability but Scarlett seems to have been one of the most noticeable throughout the last decade or so. In any case she’s been one of the few that have actually been seen in more than one movie and in the capacity of being able to kick the living hell out of male opponents, so that’s a big factor in her popularity.
6. She started acting at the age of 16.
It’s not too young but definitely not that old. In fact this age seems fairly average when you think about as a lot of people have started out in their teens or younger.
5. She started auditioning at age 10.
It seems pretty obvious to say that if an agent approached a kid and asks them if they want to be a movie star that a good percentage of them would say yes. There would be those that said no of course, but Halston wasn’t one of them.
4. She had a role in Grown Ups 2.
Halston got to play the role of Nancy, the young woman that Greg Feder has his eye on for the entire movie and swoons over in the beginning. She even gets to come to his rescue, which is pretty cool.
3. She has a main role on the show The Orville.
As silly as this show looks, and it is to be honest, she’s done her part to make it respectable at least. While some people would say that this show doesn’t have a chance to really make it others are at least willing to give it a try and see if it can live up to the hype.
2. Halston grew up reading the Twilight books.
She admits this in a way that makes her feel a bit guilty but she was a part of Team Edward. Something about a woman that loves dogs not picking Team Jacob seems kind of off. Oh well.

Deep in her heart Halston is a Cali girl, but she does love going to different cities for filming purposes, and to vacation of course.
