As everyone impatiently awaits the release of the second installment of Guardians of the Galaxy, at least we can be treated to new theories, media, and anything else that comes our way. Most recently Marvel Studios concept artist Andy park revealed some awesome Guardians concept art that offers a very different take on Star Lord and a completely remade Nova Corps. Andy had this to say about Nova Corps in his Instagram post:
This was an early design I concept illustrated for the Nova Corp in the 1st #GuardiansoftheGalaxy movie. It was an amazing time trying to come up with the look & feel of this totally new franchise in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Up until this point it was all Avengers related films. This was our chance to do something different. We saw it as Marvel’s Star Wars while working on it :)
While the designs from Guardians of the Galaxy were awesome some people might recall that earlier concept art for the heroes revealed a different different look on the characters. The view of Nova Corps is especially different almost giving him the feel of a Star Wars character. After all, Park has insinuated that Guardians of the Galaxy is like their Star Wars.
