General Hospital fans have a very loving relationship with Kimberly McCullough. She’s someone we’ve all loved for a very long time, and she’s not someone we want to see go even though she’s been gone a long time. She’s someone who has made us feel good about ourselves. She’s made us wonder if there is more to life with her characters and her roles, and she’s made us feel good about ourselves. She’s the beautiful — inside and out — Robin Scorpio. She’s been gone a long time now, but she comes back every so often to support her mother and show her support for all she does.
1. She’s A California Girl
She was born and raised in Bellflower, CA, which sounds like a very pretty place to live. She was born on March 5, 1978. She didn’t have a typical childhood, and we will get into that a little bit later.
2. She’s Been Robin Since Forever
It’s been a long road since she decided to go into this role, and that’s not really a joke. She was only 7 when she began this job. And she originated the character, too. She’s not someone who was given this role after it was taken from someone else. She did it, she owned it, and she rocked it. It’s only ever been hers.
3. She Auditioned 12 Times
It wasn’t an easy rode for the former child actress, however. While she was given her role as Robin at a very young age, she was made to audition for the role a grand total of 12 times. That’s a lot for a child. But she handled it.
4. She Won An Emmy at 11
The people who hired her were sure they made the right call when she won her first daytime Emmy. She was only 11 when she won. If that’s not a sign of the times, what is?
5. She’s the Youngest of Three
She’s a little sister to two older brothers, which makes her the baby of the family. She spent a lot of time learning to spend time with the boys, and she and her mother were the only females in the house.
6. She’s Part Mexican
She has that gorgeous dark hair and that gorgeous complexion, and you might wonder where she gets it. She is part Mexican, and she wears her heritage well and proud. She’s gorgeous.
7. She Began Acting Early
She was only 7 months old when she became an official actress. Her first job was with a diaper company working in the commercials. She did well, and it shows in her line of work that she’s done a beautiful job of always being professional. Even as a child, apparently.
8. She Loves Gymnastics
She began practicing when she was four, and she spent many years on the mat. We don’t know if she would have made it further in that line of work if she didn’t spend so much time acting, but who knows?
9. She Dated Freddie Prinz Jr.
She likes her men famous. She was famously in a long-term relationship with the handsome young actor for many years. She was happy about it, but this was long before he met his now-wife, Sarah Michelle Gellar. He married her in 2002 and went on to have two children with the actress. We aren’t sure there are any hard feelings.
10. She Dated Dale Earnhardt Jr.
When she was done with her relationship with Prinz Jr., she met a famous racecar driver and spent many years dating him. They were together for three years before that ended. She eventually ended up with someone else, and she had her first baby in 2017 after revealing that she’d been pregnant and suffered a terrible late-term miscarriage in 2015. She was pregnant with a daughter then, and that did not turn out the way she’d hoped after she miscarried her little girl at 22 weeks. Late miscarriages are not common, but she went through one. It was one of the most difficult times in her life.
