General Hospital fans know that Sam is worried about Drew and the fact that he is missing, and her mother is going to share her worry. She wants to make sure her daughter isn’t making any life mistakes here, and she’s doing that by asking that her daughter make sure she’s able to focus on the big picture. She wants to see that Sam is making the right choice, and she wants her daughter to forgo any thought she might have of dumping her husband for her ex-husband.
It seems to us that Alexis is a fan of Drew, and she wants to make sure her daughter also sticks with that general idea. She’s not looking to see that she is able to make up things like this or change her mind, but she is willing to see that her daughter is doing the right thing and making the choices her mother thinks are the right choices.
We know she likes Sam and Drew, but she’s got to make sure her daughter is doing what she’s doing and that it’s all the right thing. She’s got a problem on her hands, and Alexis knows that her daughter is going to do whatever she can to make sure Jim Harvey pays for all of this and allows her to find her husband. She just wants her to do the right thing and make the right choice for herself, her kids, and her marriage — and she believes that’s Drew.
