General Hospital fans are going to watch as Ava has a lot of memories, dreams and flashbacks today. She’s in the middle of her surgery, and she’s not going to be able to stop thinking of all the people she hurt. It’s symbolic in a manner. She’s here only because she was the person who put herself here. She made poor decision after poor decision, and it cost her so many things. She’s now in the middle of a bad situation, and she has not idea how to make it better. She’s stuck in the middle of a rock and a hard place trying to get her life back in order knowing it’s no one’s fault but her own she’s here.
As Ava drifts off into sleep as her anesthesia is administered, she will begin to dream. She will dream bad dreams of all the people she knows. People she loves now or once loved in her past, and people who hate her, whom she hates in return, and all the people she’s ever hurt. She will realize in this moment that she’s done nothing but hurt all these people and all these people know it.
They’re all affected by her, and they want to be able to focus on something other than what she did. But while they will never forget despite moving on, she is the only one who is living with the constant guilt and the nightmares following her actions. And she’s suffering more today than ever before.
