The group, which hails from Red Lion, Pennsylvania, include lead vocalist, Lzzy Hale, her brother Arejay Hale, Bassist, Josh Smith, and guitarist, Joe Hottinger, released its self-titled debut album in 2009. The followed that with a sophomore album entitled The Strange Case Of… in 2012. Since they hit the scene nearly 10 years ago, they have been on a steady climb. 1. Joe Does Not Like Sleeping with Socks On
I am not sure why this is a thing, probably because I don’t like sleeping with socks on. But there are people, including my wife, who prefers to sleep with socks on. Believe it or not, it appears to be a thing. There are quite a few people who like sleeping with their socks on, but Joe says that he gets too hot with all that extra stuff on while he is trying to sleep. The truth was exactly exposed by Lzzy, so how does she know?
2. Arejay is Horrible When It Comes to Being Punctual
As it turns out, Lzzy’s brother Arejay has quite the reputation for being late. The group says that they never know where he is until he shows up on stage or at rehearsal. If he shows up for a gig on time, they consider it to be a good day. The running joke is that the show will have to start with Arejay; however, the group has found a way to make it work without interrupting the groove and vibe of the group.
3. Lzzy Has Very Weird Food Cravings
I am sure that everyone has something that they eat that other people think is weird. Over time people develop very weird tastes in food, but Lzzy may have taken the cake with her favorite dish. She loves to eat banana and avocado mashed together. It is not only weird that Lzzy likes this dish, but the fact that she has classified it as her favorite dish is even more of a concern. It is okay to have a fetish that you satisfy every now and then, but to have such a weird dish as your go-to choice is definitely weird.
4. Josh Has Very Hairy Arms
It seems that there is some confusion with what fans have believed about the cover of Into the Wild Life, many fans thought that Josh was wearing a sweater, but it turns out that he is not wearing a sweater, his arms are just that hairy. Luckily, he decided that that was not the best look for what he was attempting to pull off, so he now shaves his arms for a more appealing look.
5. The First Time Josh Performed With the Group was in Shaboykin, Pennsylvania
Bass player, Josh Smith, revealed that when he first joined the band, their first gig was in Shaboykin, Pennsylvania. I am still tripping on the fact that there is a city name Shaboykin. It is likely that a person would like to remember their first anything, but when that first happens in Shaboykin, it is definitely something that you will never forget. It just doesn’t sound like people living in a city called Shaboykin would be listening to hard rock. That shows how much I know.
