Some people were confused about the finale of the Bachelorette, others were disappointed, and a few were actually happy. Bryan Abasolo was definitely one of those in the latter group considering he was the winner and got to make his proposal to Rachel, which she gladly accepted. Yet something seemed to be off during this entire episode, as though Rachel wasn’t entirely certain for a period of time if she and Bryan were really the right fit. He obviously took it all in stride however as Rachel and Peter tried to hash things out before the final decision was made. It couldn’t have been easy watching her crying over another man when his heart was so obviously invested, but she eventually came to accept that he was the one she needed, despite the disbelief they’ve been dealing with ever since.
He doesn’t seem like that bad of a guy, but he’s also not quite the right guy it seems.
5. A lot of people feel that he was the rebound fiancee.
Rachel seemed really invested in Peter, so much so that a lot of people thought that she would take the chance and count on Peter asking her to marry him eventually without getting a commitment right then and there. But Rachel stuck to her guns and let Peter go. Her reaction however is what makes it feel like Bryan was the rebound, the second best, the guy that was there to pick up the pieces so to speak. Relationships based off of this premise can work, but they’re usually not as fulfilling.
4. He’s a very forward person.
When Bryan stole a kiss on the first date it obviously surprised Rachel and might have seemed like a major faux pas on his part. A lot people thought that this might have been the turning point in which he would have been cut from the show. But somehow he made it through. Even his ex-girlfriend has said that he did the same thing with her.
3. He’s not too big on shopping.
He’d better hope that Rachel either doesn’t like shopping as much as it seems or can learn how to tone it down if she does, otherwise he’s in for a rude awakening. Shopping for others might not be so bad, but shopping in general is not his favorite thing as he’s already said.
2. He’s very much into family.
Bryan is a family man and definitely wants to have kids. It would be wise at this point to just see where things go however and make tentative plans before jumping into anything. He wants three kids, but Rachel seems to have her heart set on four.
1. He wears his heart on his sleeve.
He’ll say what he means and lay it all out for people so as not to be deceptive in any way. This is admirable in many people but it can also be very damaging and even a bit suspect. Bryan seems like a good guy, but only time is going to tell if he and Rachel will really be happy.
He still seems like the rebound guy.
