Baron Corbin is the ring name of Thomas Pestock who is a professional wrestler who is currently signed with WWE. He was born in Lenexa, Kansas, on September 13, 1984. He made his ring debut at a live event on October 18, 2012, after he had signed with WWE’s developmental system NXT. Although he suffered many defeats in the earlier part of his career, things took a turn for the better when he returned to wrestling in 2014 after a long absence. Since then, he has had many wins in the ring and even won the Men’s Money in the Bank Championship in 2017. He is now well-known on the wrestling circuit. 1. He Goes by Many Names

In his personal life, he is known by his birth name, Thomas Pestock. However, in his professional life, he goes by many names. Officially, his ring name is Baron Corbin but he has also been given the names ‘Mr. Money in the Bank’ and ‘The Lone Wolf’. The former is the result of his 2017 win of this title.

2. He Has Had Careers in Football and Boxing

Wrestling was not Corbin’s first career as he formerly had careers in football and boxing. He began his football career in college before signing with the Indianapolis Colts in 2009. He then signed with the Arizona Cardinals in 2010 before he was released in 2011. His short-lived boxing career began in 2007 and he took part in the Golden Gloves National Tournament of Champions in 2008. In this, he defeated Chaen Chess and then lost to Andrae Cathron.

3. He Has Interesting Tattoos

When he wrestles, many of his tattoos are on clear display and there is a story behind each of them. He has a tattoo on his leg of his father who died in 2008 due to complications related to Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease and he also wears his father’s wedding ring on a necklace. Another tattoo on his leg his to commemorate his grandfather. Two of his other tattoos memorialize two of his close friends who died in a car crash in June 2011. These are Ryan Dunn, the star of Jackass, and the show’s producer Zachary Hartwell.

4. He Credits Many People with His Wrestling Personality

Baron Corbin credits many people with influencing the success of his wrestling career and helping him to develop the wrestling personality for which he is now well-known. Some of these people include Dusty Rhodes, Kane Rhodes, Billy Gun, Bill DeMott, and Corey Graves. He has said that each of these people has impacted on his professional career in a different but significant way.

5. He Has a Wide Range of Specialist Moves and a Signature Finishing Move

Like most wrestlers, Corbin has many moves for which he is well-known. Some of his signature moves include the bear hug, the body avalanche, the clothesline, the nerve hold, the snake eyes, and the spinebuster. His famous finishing move is ‘End of Days’ which is modified version of the lifting reverse STO.
