The famous Pamplona, Spain “Running of the Bulls has long been an activity that people put on their bucket lists. It’s a controversial subject currently, because of the number of injuries and deaths that have occurred in recent years. Although becoming less popular for some, it has been featured in several great films throughout the ages.
Here are five of the greatest “Running of the Bulls” scenes in movies.
Jackass Number 2
Johnny Knoxville is up to his old tricks again. He and his group of cronies from the Jackass crew seem to be having the time of their lives as they frantically try to outrun a stampeding herd of bulls. They finally reach the yard and one of them dives into the kiddie pool as though it would offer him any protection. We see the bulls keep on going. Their luck is running high in this clip as nobody is severely gored or ends up in the hospital as a result of the stunt. This is one of the funniest and perhaps the most dangerous things that Knoxville has concocted for the show. It’s mostly about shock value and what better way than to risk their lives? The clip is hilarious.
Knight and Day
Cameron Diaz and Tom Cruise got more than they bargained for as they attempt to elude two bad guys with guns. The motorcycle chase led them through a herd of bulls as they sped down the streets which were being used for the “Running of the Bulls” in the small Spanish town of Cruz. While it may have seemed like a terribly risky scene, the actors were kept perfectly safe.
City Slickers
This scene takes place at the beginning of the 1991 film featuring Billy Crystal and his two friends who are looking for some kind of fulfillment in their lives. Middle age is hitting each of them like a ton of bricks. There are some serious undertones in the film, but it is also a comedy. Their antics are hilarious. While Running with the Bulls may have seemed like a good idea initially, the group find themselves wondering what the heck they were thinking when they decided to take the plunge.
Running with the Bulls

The San Fermin Festival – Documentary Movie attempts to explain why some people are so attracted to this old tradition. Most recently, critics have been more eager to share their voice. Some detest the event, some are in the middle of the issue and others are happy to participate.

This particular running with the bulls scene was not superimposed or altered in any way. What you are seeing is what really happened. With the bulls just feet away from them, each of these men in the film were actually running to preserve life and limb.
