Five Food Personalities That Could be the Next Rachael Ray

Five Food Personalities That Could be the Next Rachael Ray

Did anyone know that Rachael Ray had no formal training when she got started? Natalie Finn from E! brought this to mind when it came to the famous and very well-known celebrity and it’s kind of mind-boggling really since Rachael apparently credits her mother with a lot of her training. Obviously her mom knew how to cook and how to make it look good at the same time, as Rachael has been a popular celeb on TV for some time now. But what might happen if the network decides to replace her one of these days? Who might take over in her stead and do just as good of a job? There’s always someone coming up through the ranks, and there are almost always seasoned veterans kicking around that are still active and can be tapped to take over for just about anyone. In fact if you look on Thrillist you might find a few that have notable backgrounds on the Food network and could possibly take on this role without much trouble. As Naughty Gossip has already reported her show will apparently be replaced eventually by a third hour of the Today Show, which might upset fans just a bit if it really happens.

Why not just keep the food spot going? Here are a few individuals that might be able to help with that.

5. Ming Tsai

So far it doesn’t sound as though he’s built up the same kind of empire that the other stars have done but he’s been pushing steadily, taking Asian and American ingredients as he’s been doing his level best to stay away from anything that could be called ‘fusion’. It might be nice to see someone that’s going to mix it up a bit and try to bring a slightly more diverse look to the kind of show that Rachael has been known for throughout the years, and Ming could actually become someone that people will find fun and engaging if he was given a chance. If nothing else there are a lot of people that like the mix of Asian and American and tend to find it a very agreeable combination.

*4. Martha Stewart

She’s still got her fair share of detractors throughout the country but there’s no denying that she’s kind of the do-it-all type of person that can still draw a crowd. From being in the kitchen to taking care of matters around the home in terms of design and style she might bring a bit of flair to the show that could possibly bring people back, keep them there, or bring new people in. Never count out those that have already been in the game for a while since they know what it means to change the game up a bit in order to move forward. Martha might not be the first choice but she should be a choice all the same.  And granted Stewart was basically the “first” to do all of this, she not nearly what she once was.

3. Ina Garten

If you’ve ever seen Barefoot Contessa then you’re likely already up on just what Ina does and what she can help other people to accomplish. The kind of things that anyone on this list can do to inspire others is great enough to consider them for this spot since they bring a great deal to the kitchen and can show people just how to wow others on a budget. While the show that helped make Ina popular is kind of buried on the schedule it’s still there and it’s still attracting a lot of attention. Using that as a measure of how popular this individual is would be enough to consider her as a serious contender.

2. Bobby Flay

Bobby is a man of great popularity and is the kind of person that can come on a show and energize it without much effort. He’s been one of the most famous stars on the Food Network for a while and is seen as a superstar in many ways since he’s the guy that’s rarely ever beaten and stands as one of the most famous Iron Chefs of all time. Putting him on in Rachael’s place might be kind of spendy since he does seem to come with a hefty price tag but it also seems as though viewership would climb in a big way since he happens to draw a very big crowd thanks to his expertise.

1. Giada de Laurentiis

There’s a couple of reasons that Giada might be a good fit for this spot since she’s got the look that people want to see and she does have the talent to make it work. Some people see her as more of a hostess and not really a cook, but she does know her way around the kitchen and is just as skilled as anyone else that has made a name for themselves. Plus, she’s not a perfectionist and she knows how to have fun with what she’s doing, so she could bring a lot of energy to a show and likely bring a lot of viewers as well.

It sounds as though the show might have already been replaced, but it would be great if there was a second thought given to someone taking over for Rachael.
