Fans of the long-running hit series “Supernatural” have watched the brothers, Dean and Sam, battle some of the scariest forces lurking within the next dimension. Although there is no denying that they hold the top position as stars in the show, Lucifer has had his bright and shining moments as well. In fact, he’s become the central figure of some of the episodes with his menacing ways and his often prickly sense of humor. Here are five of the most awesome Lucifer moments that we just had to share with you.
1. Lucifer steals the show with his unusual style of singing
This is a compilation of Lucifer breaking into song. The character seems to just know which song is the most appropriate, or in his case, inappropriate for each situation. It’s something that he uses to be especially annoying, but when he has a song to sing, there’s usually a message that he wants to convey. He knows how to spice up a scene with a musical interlude and here are some of his absolute finest moments doing so. Not in each singing scene how his choice of lyrics and the unique delivery have an impact on his intended victims.
2. Lucifer vs Castiel vs Asmodeus.
Asmodeus is back to rub Lucifer’s nose in the fact that he’s now running hell and it seems that everything is going smoothly. Intent on picking a fight with the former ruler of hell, an exchange of unpleasantries takes place. When Lucifer, weighing his odds decides to walk away, Asmodeus plays dirty in a display that puts Lucifer at an extreme disadvantage. Even as vile as the character is, we really hate seeing him so weak and vulnerable and this scene really makes us want Asmodeus to get his. Imagine actually rooting for the devil?
3. Lucifer Saves Castiel from the Angels
When the Angels appear to try to get Castiel to help them, he refuses to become involved. Their true nature is revealed and they savagely attack him. Castiel is only able to throw them off for so long and when they subdue him, holding a long, sharp knife blade to his throat, Lucifer appears just in time. He makes a fairly dramatic entrance and even Castiel is shocked. What was Lucifer doing back on earth? He reveals the reason in a heated exchange with Castiel who takes a chill pill as Lucifer tells him it’s time to listen and work together. It appears that the end of all living things is at hand, and this includes both Lucifer and Castiel.
4. Lucifer disintegrates them all
This is a great compilation of Lucifer’s best moments spent disintegrating them all. He evaporates the priests who are trying to exorcize him, the Horsemen who are trying to take him out and many many others. We especially like the scenes where he’s taken possession of Castiel. It looks like the angel, but there is no mistaking the twisted humor of Lucifer behind those Angel’s eyes.
5. Lucifer Torments Sam Winchester
This collection of the moments when Lucifer pulls out all the stops to torment Sam gives us all a good look into the breadth and depth of the character of Lucifer at his finest, and also at his worst, which is something that he’s good at doing. He’s enjoying taunting Sam in front of other people who can’t see that he’s there. Sam must do his best to try to ignore the taunts and interactions so those around won’t think that he’s stark raving mad. Some of the scenes here of Sam and Lucifer in the mental ward can be hard to watch because Lucifer is so ruthless that we naturally want to intervene and help Sam out of his dilemma. Keep watching because it really gets hot when Gabrielle takes on his brother and shares some family secrets, but then, in the end, we see Lucifer negotiating with Sam and showing how diabolically brilliant he is. He usually wins and it’s rare to see him take his lumps. We seem to only catch glimpses of this though.
