Five Actors Who Could Play Jeff Sessions in a Movie

Jeff Sessions is the current US Attorney General of the United States and was appointed to his position by none other than Donald Trump, the current POTUS. Whether people like him or not is a matter of personal opinion and how one feels about his sense of politics. As a character in a film it all depends on the director and their views as to how he would be played and who would play him, but likely as not he would not be cast as a heroic role. A great many politicians are shown by Hollywood to be either callous or heroic, with the latter role seeming to sit sourly on the minds of many viewers. So really, no matter who played Sessions, they would undoubtedly not be the favorite character in the film.

Here are our picks for five actors who could play Jeff Sessions

John Voight

Voight has a long history of playing characters that other people simply do not like. He’s had a political lean in a lot of roles that he’s played, but quite often his roles as a villain seem to be his best. Whether he would be cast as the villain by playing Jeff Sessions is highly subjective, but the facial expressions and the build are about right so it’s easy to say that Voight would be able to represent Sessions quite well in terms of acting and keeping a sense of realism.

Gary Oldman

There isn’t a lot that Oldman does that can’t be called great, or at least quirky in some way. He knows how to perfect his tone and pitch, he knows how to act, and he knows how to slip into a role. Oldman has played everything from crazy to diabolical to lovable and he’s rocked every role. From his role in State of Grace to the Batman franchise he’s been a masterful actor that just can’t seem to miss.

Anthony Hopkins

If you want distinction and dignity in a role then Hopkins is where to go. He’s a masterful actor that is miles above so many others that he stands in a class all by himself. He can be creepy, evil, or just down to earth and as cuddly as your favorite grandpa character. The point is that he can acclimate to any role and nail it without fault.

Gene Hackman

We haven’t seen a lot of Hackman in the last several years, and its kind of sad to be honest. He’s a great actor that brings a lot of intensity to the screen and has been one of the favorites of viewers for years. Whether he’s warm and friendly or just a pain in the rear hard case that doesn’t get along with anyone, he’s the perfect actor to play the role of someone that isn’t universally liked by anyone.

Jack Nicholson

This one was more for fun. Nicholson isn’t a stranger to playing a role that deals with politics. Despite being highly fictionalized, Hoffa was one of Nicholson’s masterpieces and has yet to leave the collective memory of movie goers anywhere. He’d be perfect for this role largely because he’d be likely to have a lot of fun with it. He might be kind of a miser off screen, but on screen he’s Hollywood gold.

Conclusion

It’s always tough to represent a person that is real and still living, but with the right actor it can be accomplished. And if they don’t happen to like their representation? Either remember its fiction or don’t watch.
