Have you heard of a television show called Final Space? It’s understandable if you haven’t, because there is a fairly large amount of the population that hasn’t yet heard of it but once you do, it’s bound to pique your interest. It’s extremely unique and aside from that fact, it’s just entertaining in practically every way you could ever imagine. If you want to know more about it, go ahead and read through this list. 1. It’s known as a Space Opera
If you’re not familiar with the term Space Opera, think about Star Wars. You have a lot of different stories going on at the same time, it’s epic, and there are light-hearted moments along with a great deal of strife and struggle. In other words, you’re looking at a story that would be befitting of an opera, only it’s set in space. That being said, you don’t have a lot of that high-pitched singing that you may or may not be a fan of.
2. It’s both a drama and comedy
This is indeed a drama but it’s also a comedy. Somehow, this show manages to combine these two completely opposite genres of entertainment into one thing and it works. One minute, you’ll find yourself riveted to your seat wondering what’s going to happen and the next minute, you’re laughing so hard you have tears rolling down your face. It definitely keeps things interesting, to say the least.
3. It’s also animated
It’s also important to note this is an animated series. If you think that you might not be interested in watching it because you’re really not into anything that’s animated, go ahead and give it a chance. It’s definitely not like the cartoons you watched as a kid and it’s worth giving it a shot.

This is a show that airs on TBS, a network that has become synonymous with animated shows that are made for adults. You might think of other shows like Family Guy or The Simpsons. perhaps you’re more familiar with another animated show called King of the Hill. They made this type of entertainment work for a long time and clearly, they’re doing it again.
5. It started airing last year
This is a series that only started airing about a year ago, in February of 2018. At the time, the network only ordered 10 episodes and by the time that first season had ended, the show had a dedicated fan base.
6. You can already watch it on Netflix
In order to attest to its popularity, you might be interested to know that you can already stream the series on Netflix. As you know, Netflix can be a great place to find stuff that you can’t really find in a lot of other places, but it doesn’t always happen right away. The fact that you can already get access to the show proves how popular it is because they don’t really have a habit of wasting their time with giving fans quick access to more obscure things that people just aren’t that interested in to begin with.
7. It has been renewed for a second season
The show was actually renewed for a second season just three months after the first one began airing. It’s not yet known exactly when that second season will air but it will be sometime next year. It would make sense that it would probably air beginning in February since that’s when the first season started but nothing has been nailed down yet.
8. The new season will have 13 episodes
What is known is that this second season has three more episodes than the original, totaling 13. That’s a good sign, because it was popular enough to not only request a second season, but to include more episodes so people could get more complete access to the story.
9. It’s almost like Star Wars meets The Carol Burnett Show, only animated
Chances are, you’ve seen Star Wars several times over and if you’re person who was alive during the 1970s and 80s, you have probably seen The Carol Burnett Show. It was a sketch comedy show that was so funny it would have you rolling in the floor in no time. You might think of this show as the love child between these two, in an animated form.

It’s no wonder that is so popular with fans. When something can make you laugh and cry at the same time, it’s bound to keep your interest and it’s enough to keep you coming back for more time and again.
