Days of Our Lives fans have watched for well over a year as Joey has done everything in his power to make what he did right. He was in love with Ava, the woman who kidnapped his mother, attacked her and held her hostage. He was in love with her even when she forced his dad to have sex with her so he could get his mother back, and he was in love with her when he found out that Ava was convinced she and his father had a son that might be older than Joey hidden away somewhere. Steve didn’t believe her, but it turned out to be true. When Joey killed Ava, his father took the blame for it. Steve was on trial, and it was thought he might go to jail.
Things are not looking good for Joey right now. He got Jade pregnant, they lost their baby, Jade became awful, and things aren’t looking good now that Steve and Ava’s child is in their life for the first time. He’s upset he never got to meet his mother, Ava. He doesn’t believe Steve really killed her or that she was the awful person Steve said she was. He’s convinced Steve is covering for someone, and the only logical choice is Kayla. Despite being very close with Kayla, Tripp is going to try and make her pay for what he believes she did to his mother, but Joey won’t allow it.
If Tripp takes out his anger on Kayla, there is no way that Joey will allow it. He won’t let his mother go down for what he did to that awful woman smothering her in her hospital bed. But will he confess to his crime? Will he go to the police and make it official, or will he share the information with his new half-brother and see if he can spare everyone? And how will Tripp react when he realizes his brother who has both his mother and father is the reason he has no mother? It probably won’t end well, and Steve and Kayla will be horrified.
