Thursday is a day in which the people at Days of Our Lives remember a very important lesson in life. You see, there comes a time in all our lives when we realize that things are not nearly as serious as we think that they are. We all have our own problems. The people here have problems that are big to some, small to others; but they all pale in comparison to the problem that brings them all the Daniel’s funeral. Everyone spends Thursday reflecting on the issues that they have in their lives. Some of the people here will come to the realization that their life problems are not so bad in reality. Eric cannot agree with that sentiment, however. He might not be dead from the accident, but he is responsible for ruining so many lives, taking lives and putting everyone in this particular position.
If it had not been for the fact that Eric was drinking and driving, Daniel would not be dead. Brady would not be living with Daniel’s heart and thinking that he is turning into Daniel, experiencing his feelings and his moods. He would not be making Theresa jealous with his newfound closeness to Nicole and Nicole would not be mourning a dead man while simultaneously hoping that the man with the dead man’s heart is turning into him. Nicole is suffering and Theresa has already found herself in a position that makes her uncomfortable, comforting Nicole in the wake of their meeting on Wednesday.
Deimos is still looking to exact revenge on his brother. We might not know yet what he is doing to get back at Victor, but we do know that he’s been out and about around town recently and that he is not making their relationship much of a secret. He is already introducing himself around town as Victor’s brother and getting people a little bit excited about the idea that someone might be around who can make Victor stop what he’s been doing to everyone for so long. Philip worries about it. He is continuing to find a way out of his plan with Deimos and he is not finding anything that will work for him at the moment. We wonder if Philip will eventually go to Victor and tell him what is going on with Deimos and work a double cross. We also wonder if Victor would be okay with that if Philip were to change his mind yet admit to what he’s done. We don’t know, and we don’t expect that it will end well for anyone involved.
Belle finds herself torn and conflicted once again after recently making up with her daughter. She and Shawn have had yet another argument about their marriage and it leaves her feeling anything but good about life. We cannot help but wonder if this is going to be worse than it is. Their problems are real, but Belle knows it’s not nearly as bad as Daniel’s death or Eric’s arrest. She is still torn between her husband and Philip, and she cannot make a decision. We can expect to see her hem and haw a bit more over this decision today. It’s not going to be a good one, but she will make a decision.
Everyone is struggling with the funeral. Daniel will be cremated, and it’s expected to be a small ceremony, but one in which there is a lot of emotion. There is just too much hurt here. Nicole cannot stop her pain when she allows Brady to continue to allow her to think that he is feeling Daniel’s feelings. We will see Nicole break down, Brady have more experiences that are not his own and a lot of drama to come for this. We can see this going one of two ways; Nicole will either slowly lose it to the point that she has to have Brady because she becomes convinced that he is Daniel on the inside, or we see that Brady will use this as a way of getting what he wants out of life without actually seeing himself take any responsibility for it. we have to wonder which way it will go, though.
