The 2016 Critics’ Choice Awards were held on Sunday night, as the Broadcast Television Journalists Association and the Broadcast Film Critics Association gathered together to honor the very best from film and television. The event featured many deserved winners (a full list of which you can find here) and some terrific speeches, but there were a few moments that stood out among the rest. These are the five best moments from Sunday night’s Critics’ Choice Awards.

Constance Zimmer’s Win for UnREAL
UnREAL wasn’t only one of the best new TV shows in 2015; it was one of the best shows on television, period, and the series was led by two fearless performances from Shiri Appleby and Constance Zimmer. Although Appleby didn’t take home the top prize for Best Actress in a Drama Series, Zimmer did come out victorious for Best Supporting Actress, and her reaction when here name was called, along with her fantastic speech afterward, was one the night’s most entertaining and deserving wins.

Nashville‘s Hayden Panettiere and Jonathan Jackson Share the Stage
News about Nashville star Hayden Panettiere’s real-life struggles with postpartum depression following the birth of her daughter have been widely reported, especially after the actress voluntarily checked herself into a facility for treatment, causing her to have to take temporary leave from the ABC series. With that in mind, seeing a smiling Panettiere join her Nashville costar Jonathan Jackson onstage at the Critics’ Choice Awards (where they were both nominated in the supporting categories) put equally big smiles on all of our faces. We can’t wait to see her back on Nashville.

Jacob Tremblay’s “Super Cool” Speech
Nine-year-old Jacob Tremblay has been receiving universal praise for his performance in the Oscar-nominated film Room, and critics honored the talented young actor last night with the award for Best Young Actor/Actress. And while Tremblay’s win alone was a great moment (he’s so good in Room that he also deserved an Oscar nomination, but that’s an article for another time), it was his sweet, honest, and adorable speech that was one of the night’s biggest highlights, as he called winning the award “super cool” and said it was “the best day of my life.” Check out his full speech below.

Sly Thanks His Creed Collaborators
After forgetting to thank Creed director Ryan Coogler and his costars Michael B. Jordan and Tessa Thompson on air during the Golden Globes last Sunday, Sylvester Stallone, who won the award for Best Supporting Actor in a Film, made sure that one of the first things he did during his speech last night was mention all three of his collaborators. However, Sly’s words didn’t come off as cheap or rehearsed, as he described how Creed was truly Coogler’s vision and stated that both Jordan and Thompson have incredible careers ahead of the time. Instead, given more time and preparation, Stallone was able to deliver an even better speech than the one he gave last Sunday, and it was easily one of the most memorable and heartfelt ones of the night.

BB-8 Steals the Show
J.J. Abrams presenting Industrial Light & Magic Chief Creative Officer John Knoll with the Genius Award for the company’s visual effects work in films was already a nice moment. However, it became a truly great one as soon as BB-8, everyone’s new favorite droid from Star Wars: The Force Awakens, joined Knoll on stage and hilariously urged him to thank all the computers involved in the company’s visual effects work, not just the artists themselves. Watch BB-8 take the stage in the video below, and then join our very serious campaign to get the droid to host next year’s Critics’ Choice Awards and pretty much every other award show out there.
