With music in general it’s safe to say that music listeners generally fall into one of two categories: those that long for the stuff they loved back in the day and those that are obsessed with what’s out now. There are also those that kind of “like anything” but that doesn’t really help me much here. However, if you could somehow show both demographics a little bit of the side they don’t lean on it might encourage them to give said side a listen.
One genre that’s spanned a myriad of styles, beats, rhythms and even lyrics is rap. From that late 70s until now we’ve seen all kind of artists. From The Sugar Hill Gang to Run DMC up to guys like Kanye West or NAS the evolution of styles is an amazing thing to watch, especially if condensed into one seven-minute long video.
That’s exactly what Mac Lethal just did here. This video is pretty amazing to watch.
