Everybody that follows the highly rated television series that airs on AMC, The Walking Dead, is practically foaming at the mouth for the show’s upcoming season. Let The Fighting Begin
Anyone that really pays attention to the show already knows that the showrunners promised that there will be war and that it will start right from the beginning of Season 8. Even casual observers of the show have probably picked up on this fact. After all, Season 7 saw Negan, the show’s main antagonist, practically turn Rick into a bigger and kill virtually everyone in his path. During Season 8, it only stands to reason that Rick is going to get tired of trying to avoid Negan and the two sides are going to go all out. This promises to be a lot of fun for fans but it also practically guarantees that there are going to be some major characters that are no longer around when Season 8 is finished. After all, as Chandler Riggs says, you can’t have war without casualties.
Everybody Knows That Negan’s Coming
Whether you watch the show religiously or you only tune into a few episodes at a time, you know that this battle between Negan and Rick has got to be addressed. There is no way that someone as evil as Negan is going to simply lay low and let things play out. He’s coming and Rick and his crew had better be ready or else everyone is going to get slaughtered. This basically tells the audience in advance that something major is on the horizon. It is apt to be one of the best seasons of the show ever, but it will also be a real nail-biter.
Who Will Be Left Standing?
For the people that really love the show, the whole season will be a nail-biter, indeed. After all, you don’t want your favorite character to be one of the individuals that is no longer left when the season ends but you have no way of knowing who will stay and who will go. This means that every time your favorite character appears on screen, you have that bittersweet mix of excitement and dread all at once. It definitely makes watching the show more interesting and it adds an element of surprise. Even Riggs, who plays Carl in the series, admits that this very thing has been what has made doing the show so much fun in the first place. The truth is, fans will have to watch the show and see who falls along the way.
In closing, The Walking Dead has easily been one of the most successful shows in AMC’s history. It has a wide fan following that is extremely dedicated, a group of individuals who absolutely cannot wait for the next season to begin.
