Camila Cabello, former member of Fifth Harmony, who in December left the group, has returned to the stage. She made her triumphant return today on Ellen and performed with rapper Machine Gun Kelly. She performed her solo song “Bad Things.” Cabello parted ways with Fifth Harmony, a band put together on the show X Factor, to pursue a career as a solo artist. However, what made the departure more than ordinary news is that her former bandmates Normani Kordei, Lauren Juaregui, Dinah Jane and Ally Brooke alleged they were informed of her decision only through her representatives
Cabello has since disputed that claim saying “the girls were aware of my feelings through the long, much needed conversations about the future that we had during tour.” Fifth Harmony still performs under the same name despite being down one member. The quartet took the stage for the first time without Cabello during the 2017 People’s Choice awards where they took home an award for Favorite Group.
Camila Cabello has been in the spotlight ever since the break up, and frankly beforehand as well. She’s admitted that being in the public eye is tough, not to mention the rigors of being a young woman and having to display herself in a gratuitous fashion to “sell herself.” Perhaps her career as a solo artist will allow her to branch out on her own to pursue her own image. However, if this video is any indication, she still appeals to men, that is for sure. Check her out on Ellen below
