Everyone loves to hear about new and upcoming films in the years to come, and eagerly wait in anticipation to see them makes major waves in theaters everywhere. This is the same case for Quinten Tarantino’s newly announced film that is set to hit theaters in 2019. The film, which is entitled ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’ will have an A list cast to back it up as well, with the talents of Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio as the stars of the film. In this article, we are going to reveal to you some of the details that we know so far, and what audiences can expect when the film hits theaters in 2019. With that said, let’s take a closer look at this new film and the story that it is going to tell.
The Plot
As we mentioned before, the film is set to star Brad Pitt, playing the character of Cliff Booth, who was the longtime stunt double for former actor in Western TV series Rick Dalton (who is played by Leonardo DiCaprio). The film is set to take place in the year 1969, and will tell the story of the two men who are trying to make their way in Hollywood, and during a time when Dalton was next door neighbors with Sharon Tate. We are assuming, however, that the story may take a more disturbing and thrilling turn for the history behind it. It was in 1968 that Sharon Tate, who was pregnant and married to director Roman Polanski at the time, was murdered by members of the Charles Manson family in her own home. Either way, we know it is going to be an epic film.
Long Time Coming
Tarantino revealed in a press conference to announce the production of the film that he had been working on the script of it for over five years, and that he drew a lot of experience from living in Los Angeles County (where the film is set) for the majority of his life. He also stated that he was quite excited to be telling a story that displayed a Hollywood that doesn’t exist anymore in our world today, as the story takes place during the hippy era of Hollywood.
Needless to say, this sounds like it is going to be one of the films to catch when 2019 rolls around. Quinten Tarantino has worked on previous projects with both of the leading men who are set to star in the film, so we know that the dynamic between them will be prevalent onscreen and will make the film all the better. The film is being produced and released by Sony Pictures, and as stated at the press conference that took place recently, the film is set to hit theaters everywhere come August 9th of 2019.
