On Monday’s episode of the Young and the Restless, we got to witness a moment that’s been a long time coming, and a moment of happiness for a family that was scared they’d been torn apart for so long. Billy gets to go home. It wasn’t too long ago when his family sat around his hospital bed as machines kept him alive after he was involved in a hit and run that left him in a deep coma, unable to survive on his own. It was Jack’s decision to pull the plug at Billy’s request and let him go. His family was horrified at the decision and beside themselves with grief, and then he woke up. Now he is finally going home and he is given the second chance he’s been wanting for so long. Sadly, he is already breaking his promises.
Billy promised Victoria he would chance; he would no longer be involved in shady deals and he would focus on their family. He’s involved in a very shady deal, and he is already lying to her; cavorting with his mother to make their business more successful and to take down Victor. Victor has put Victoria in charge of a very big deal he’s working on, and she has no idea that the deal is being manipulated by none other than her husband and her mother-in-law.
Adam, Jack and Phyllis head to the club to celebrate the fact that Billy is being released, and they toast. Jack wants them to sell the internet deal back to him and Phyllis and Billy, but Adam tells him no and that Billy already had a chance and that he left it behind. That’s when Phyllis and Jack decide to go up to a room and they find themselves in a very intimate position. While Jack is asleep, Phyllis reflects.
While his mother and brother and becoming intimate, Billy is home with his wife doing the same thing. Then they spend the evening with their little boy all together, cuddling on the couch while they do little more than simply sit down and enjoy the fact that they are all together again. It’s a sweet moment, but it’s one that we know will not last much longer. Billy simply cannot keep himself out of trouble and he cannot avoid doing things he should not be doing with his mother and his family and their own business.
Naturally, we know that Adam is going through some issues of his own, He has no idea that Phyllis is the woman who had him kidnapped, and he’s still friendly with them. Now his wife is mad at him for working with his father, and she’s even less thrilled when she finds out that Victor is using him and blackmailing him once again. They argue again, but they are interrupted when Nick appears. Adam and Nick argue since Adam doesn’t want him to have Sage committed, but he’s filing the paperwork regardless.
After Nick leaves, Chelsea seems to feel badly that she argued with her husband so soon after him being returned to her. She was so worried for so long that she’d never see him again, and she convinces herself that her husband loves her and that he will come speak to her when he feels as if he is ready. She visits him at work to make up, and they decide that they might as well make use of Victor’s desk by being intimate. That’s when the photo of Victor turns into Adam and Chelsea is momentarily horrified before she finds herself back in the moment with her husband.
As for Nick and Sage, they manage to finally convince everyone that she is crazy and they trick Dr. Anderson into giving Nick paperwork to have her committed. They manage to fool everyone in their lives and they conspire to get her committed so that they can bring down Dr. Anderson. It all seems to be working, too, and it looks as if they are going to get their way as we see Sage is taken to Fairview so that they can continue the second portion of their master plan that allows them to take down the doctor for the time being.
