Saying that Arturo Castro is new to show business wouldn’t be entirely accurate since he’s been around for a while and has been growing his reputation with each new endeavor he takes on. His style of comedy is something that, like anything, might require some folks to get used to him while others find him comical right off the bat and have no trouble laughing at what he does. To be honest some of his bits are absolutely hilarious and others might be geared towards a different audience or are his way of interpreting one part of the world around him that others don’t think is funny or have to really look to see the humor in. One thing that seems obvious is that he knows just like any comedian that you’re not going to satisfy absolutely everyone since it’s not empirically possible, but so long as you impress enough people your reputation in show business should be solid.
Here are a few things about Arturo you might not have known.
10. He did mostly theater work up until he was 17 years old.
It would seem that Arturo has been a big lover of the theater for a while and has done most of his best work there in his early years before moving on. No doubt it’s helped him to develop the kind of skills he’s been using as of late to entertain the masses and further cement his career as an actor and a comedian.
9. His career has been building since 2009.
Like a lot of people he’s been skipping around between TV and movies and even theater it would seem for years. One has to wonder if that allows a person to grow exponentially as an actor or if it might be a bit strenuous at time switching venues in such a fashion. For Arturo it seems to have been highly beneficial as he’s been growing in popularity.
8. Arturo just landed his own comedy special on Comedy Central.
Comedy Central Press has reported on the upcoming show that Arturo has coming out this summer. Alternatino promises to be something unique and absolutely hilarious and is slated to arrive in June.
7. He’s got a decent following on social media.
It would seem that he’s just active enough to have a decent following and has managed to keep people entertained as he interacts with them and helps to promote whatever new act he has coming out.
6. He had a part in Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk.
He played the part of Mango, part of Bravo Squad, the men that are being honored during the halftime show when the loud music and pyrotechnics are going off. The movie was rather touching and actually kind of eye-opening.
5. Arturo joined the cast of Narcos in 2017.
Some folks might guess correctly that hew as picked because he is Guatemalan and does have the right kind of look, but that’s not all. He does have acting experience and is talented enough to pull the act off so it was obviously the right choice to bring him in.
4. It would seem that his career really started taking off once he moved to New York City.
Before coming to NYC Arturo was already exercising his talent in broad strokes and growing more and more skilled with each passing day. But once he reached the Big Apple his reputation just started growing in leaps and bounds.
3. He’s performed in quite a few off-Broadway productions.
It’s amazing what you find when you dig a little into someone’s bio and find out that they’ve been around longer than you think. Arturo has been around longer than some of those that have been seen as top-level entertainment and in many ways he’s a lot more solid in his career than those that are currently enjoying record numbers. But he does seem happy with what he’s done so far and that’s a big part of show business it seems.
2. There’s not a lot of personal information on him out there.
What does exist has mostly to do with his career and how far he’s come since he started out, and that seems to be enough to get a feel for how he’s grown and evolved throughout show business since his earliest days.
1. It’s not really known what his net worth is.
So far telling what he’s worth and how much he makes annually hasn’t been disclosed so it’s really hard to say just how much he’s worth to the industry and how much stock people have put in him. But considering what he’s done and what he’s lined up to do it seems that it would be a good amount.
The type of comedy he produces is bound to be something that will be talked about for a while, it might be a good idea to check him out.
