Animated Stencil Artist Paints Dragon Ball Super Saiyan Blue Vegeta

This stencil artist certainly is animated while he’s painting Super Saiyan Blue Vegeta from Dragonball. In fact it’s safe to say that he’s having a great time and happens to love what he does. He certainly goes fast, I don’t know as many artists would take up with this style or if they would prefer taking their time and getting every little detail as perfect as possible. But then that’s contrasting styles for you, this guy has learned how to really get into the rhythm of his work and still produce a masterpiece that is something not unique but still impressive. You could argue that using a stencil is not the same as doing it freestyle and you’d be right, it’s not taking the time to draw everything out by hand and then color it in and outline the thing like a regular animator or artist would, but this is still something to be impressed with.

It still takes time and effort to create the stencils and to color them correctly and make sure that you’re not allowing the colors to bleed under or overlap. The skill involved in this is still great enough that you can see how it might seem easy but be exceptionally difficult if you tried it without any prior experience. The thing with anything related to Dragonball Z however is that you can usually tell fan art from the authentic pieces since fan art is a bit less polished while the authentic pieces are usually done by those that have a skilled hand at drawing and outlining the characters. Those that do this kind of thing for a living after all are the ones that do it continually without stopping and tend to be able to do so without effort since they’ve been at this for so long.

The Dragonball Z series is one that caught on in America and has never really waned since its introduction. It’s managed to become one of the most well-known story lines that people have found to be both entertaining and engaging as they original story has gone through one transition after another. The artwork usually features figures like Vegeta or those similar who are heavily muscled and look as though they might be capable of breaking rocks with their bare hands, which some of them are. But to be honest it’s not for everyone if you don’t happen to like anime and aren’t into heroes and villains that are so overpowered that one punch from them can level mountains. It’s almost like a cartoon filled with Superman-level characters that just get more dangerous the more they train. I think that’s been my whole issue with the series is that there don’t seem to be a lot of limits and more than anything it doesn’t appear that the people creating the series believe in limits.

That’s all well and good since the imagination of the creator should be the only limit, but perhaps I’m just old fashioned and like my heroes to have to struggle occasionally and not be able to break a world in half if they wanted to.
