10 Things You Didn’t Know about Ann Sarnoff

It’s common that we as fans don’t always think about the higher-ups that run the studios and companies that we look to for our entertainment, but there are times when it’s wise to take at least a moment to look beyond the screen and production companies to see just what’s going on. Ann Sarnoff might not be much of anyone to a lot of people but she’s important in a big way since she’s accomplished something that wasn’t so much beyond women as it was unheard of when it came to women advancing in a company such as Warner Bros. The fact that this should have happened sooner given the level of education and experience she has is hard to argue, but as with anything in this world a lot of things come in their own due time, and trying to force them tends to make things go contrary to how they should. So despite how it sounds, meaning that she finally earned her spot when she should have been given the shot earlier, it can still be said that she’s where she deserves to be at this point and put in the work to get there.

Here are a few things about Ann you might not have known.

10. She’s made history as the first CEO of Warner Bros.

As Ryan Scott of MovieWeb might say it’s kind of odd for many people to see her be picked as CEO, but it is a deserved position since looking at her past and all she’s done to this point. Ann was the right pick for this spot no matter how it might have surprised anyone and it’s hopeful that she’ll get her footing quickly and learn the ins and outs of the job.

9. As of now she’s in her 50s.

It’s taken a while for Ann to get this far but one thing that can’t be said is that she’s been idle and is being picked just because she’s a woman. Ann has earned every bit of this and more and has proven that throughout her career. It’s easy to think that she should have been given the chance earlier, but even then it might not have been the right time. Now though it’s going to be interesting to see how she handles it.

8. She worked at Viacom for about a decade.

This does show that she has the kind of dedication it takes to stick with a job for a while until it’s time to move on, as working for the same company for a decade or more used to be pretty commonplace and still is in a lot of places. But the dependability that comes with this is hard to beat.

7. Ann was head of consumer products for Nickelodeon as well.

She’s done more than she needs to prove that she’s a good, reliable, and stable worker and has been seen throughout many of her career choices to be one of the most dedicated individuals on the job. What this means of course is that with each new spot she’s worked in she has given just about everything she can in order to get the job done.

6. She’s had a very impressive career at this point.

There might have been moments in her life that she was trying to prove something to someone, but with her work history and the accomplishments she’s achieved it does seem as though she moved past that point and was simply attempting to get her job done more often than not. Sometimes it’s not about proving yourself, it’s moving past those that are waiting for you to show them something and getting things done instead.

5. Ann has earned quite a few honors in her time.

She’s been ambitious, there’s no doubt of that, as she has earned a great number of awards and honors that have continued to show that she is absolutely dedicated to anything she puts her mind to and is bound to succeed one way or another.

4. As of now Twitter seems to be her main tie to social media.

If she has another social media account it would seem that it’s either not listed in her bio or doesn’t have the numbers to really be all that impressive. As of now Twitter is where she’s at in terms of social media, and that’s perfectly fine.

3. Her net worth is under review at the moment.

At the moment she’s obviously not making as much as she could be but it stands to reason that once she becomes fully acclimated to the job that her salary should rise and with it her net worth as well.

2. She promoted Rugrats and Blue’s Clues.

Ann has promoted many other shows as well throughout her time in TV and has created a reputation that many she works with have come to see as impressive.

1. Ann is a highly educated individual.

Any time you see Harvard on someone’s resume you might want to perk up and pay attention since not only is the school hard to get into, but graduating is a demanding and impressive feat.

Here’s wishing her the best of luck in this new position.
