When you’re as high a profile news journalist and anchor as Anderson Cooper is, one of the thing you ride your reputation on is being professional. It’s Cooper’s job to provide a level of tact and seriousness to virtually any situation and topic he discusses. You’ll rarely catch Cooper in a moment of laughter or “shock” while he’s hosting his CNN show. Off camera and in interviews you’ll see a more lax Anderson Cooper but when it comes to CNN, he’s a pretty stoic character.
However, yesterday when Cooper learned that Donald Trump said that diplomacy is “not so easy” he just couldn’t hold it in. Cooper was endered speechless by Trump’s reaction to diplomacy. He had aimed to do his negotiating thing with Chinese President Xi Jingping but soon realized that solving the North Korea problem is “not so easy.” Cooper was not only shocked by Trump’s baffled reaction but also his own response to it. He was at once amused and almost ashamed: “I don’t know why I’m reacting like this.”
It’s gotten to this point people. Anderson Cooper is losing it on television and is embarrassed at himself because he cannot find any more answers to the things Donald Trump says and does. Check out the full clip below:
