Amy Schumer’s transition from famous comedian to movie star is essentially complete. Expect to see her in more movies now that she’s got the acting bug. Schumer’s latest adventure is with none other than Goldie Hawn. The two have teamed up to make adventure comedy “Snatched” and the trailer looks pretty funny. According to the trailer’s page:
After her boyfriend dumps her on the eve of their exotic vacation, impetuous dreamer Emily Middleton (Amy Schumer) persuades her ultra-cautious mother, Linda (Goldie Hawn) to travel with her to paradise. Polar opposites, Emily and Linda realize that working through their differences as mother and daughter – in unpredictable, hilarious fashion – is the only way to escape the wildly outrageous jungle adventure they have fallen into.
Also featured in the movie is Wanda Sykes and Joan Cusack. The movie also marks Goldie Hawn’s return to film. In case you haven’t noticed, the last time Goldie Hawn appeared in a movie was 15 years ago. Time sure flies. At this point in her career I think Goldie Hawn’s just looking to enjoy herself and from the looks of it, she his.
Snatched was written by Katie Dippold, who previously penned the scripts for the action comedies The Heat and Ghostbusters. Director Jonathan Levine is best known for filming the Seth Rogen/Joseph Gordon-Levitt movies The Night Before and 50/50.
Snatched is due out May 12 — just in time for Mother’s Day weekend. Check out the trailer below:
