Amazing Uses of Songs in TV Shows: Icona Pop’s “I Love It” in Girls

So I was at a wedding this weekend and while I’m not the biggest dancer at weddings I have to admit when Icona Pop’s “I Love It” came on I was rocking out.  Sure I’m 36 and the idea of any song past the year 1990 makes me cringe, but once in a while something special comes along.  Personally I think this is one of these songs.  It’s pure energy.  It’s two chicks who you’re imagining to be incredibly gorgeous because of their broken English.

It’s seriously just letting it all out and dancing your butts off.  Plus I have to admit the sequence from the show Girls when Hannah is going completely bonkers (from cocaine) and partying as this song is playing is incredible.  Nope, not a huge fan of Girls but every show has its moments and that was one show moment I would never forget.

Anyway, if today is bringing you down, just remember not to care and to “Love it.” Enjoy the video above and get out there and do something!
