Bold and the Beautiful fans love their main characters. It’s why this show focuses so much on only a few at a time — well, that and the fact that it only airs a half hour a day. You can only fit so many things into a 30-minute time slot even with this much drama and this much fun. There are some major people in LA who have stuck around for a long time. Eric and Brooke are originals. Others have been around a long time, characters have been around a long time, and people have serious favorites. Of course, there are newbies all the time. People come and go around here, and we have no problem with that. Our only problem is that some characters aren’t as good as others. Some come into our lives around here and do nothing for us. Who are your least favorite characters? These are ours.
Emma
We hate to speak ill of the dead, but she was a useless character. She was bland. She was boring. She brought so very little to the table, and we had a hard time figuring out what it was about her that people loved so much. She wasn’t our cup of tea, per say. She wasn’t a bad person. She is the single person to learn the truth about the great baby death lie and switch and try to come forward with it, but she was killed to keep her from talking. She was the single, only, only person to want to be honest and make this right, and she was killed. She’s boring, so we don’t miss her a lot, but still. She was the only person who wanted to do the right thing, and that’s why she almost didn’t make it onto this list.
Ivy
She never did it for us. Really, she’s a bit like Emma. She’s not a bad person, and she’s not a horrible situation, but she was just too boring for us. She came into the mix as a lovely woman with a lot of happiness and a good attitude — which we all know is nothing like the people around here — and we all loved her for a moment. But then she decided to take a man from her cousin, Steffy, and be with Liam. She was crazy about him to the point that it made her do some pretty questionable and sketchy things, and we didn’t get her desire to do this at all. We were not big fans, and we felt that the character changed to a point we could not relate to her anymore. It wasn’t like she became a total evil villain, either. She failed to convince us she was awful, and that’s where the writers went so wrong with her. She wasn’t that girl, and she could not be.
Flo
We don’t want to open up a can of worms, but we will. You see, she’s only been around for a few minutes. What that means is that she’s been here less than a year, and she’s got no real ties to the show except for the fact that she apparently dated Wyatt when they were in high school and she’s the illegitimate child of the man who created the entire Logan Sister squad. And now she’s the woman who helped Reese pretend a baby died so he could steal it, sell it to Steffy after telling her he had a baby up for adoption, and it was really Hope and Liam’s baby. It was a horrible thing, she was okay with it, in on it, and she then decided that after she ran into Liam and realized that this baby she stole was his niece and it was a baby who belonged to a lovely couple who was crushed, she would continue to lie about it and let this family embrace her. And now, well, now she wants people to forgive her because she really did feel terrible about it the whole entire time. Not enough to tell the truth and stop this, of course, but she really did feel so bad. And that’s just awful. We cannot stand her. She’s whiny, she’s annoying, and she is horrible.
