Everything We Know about Silicon Valley Season 6

Silicon Valley Season 6

The most major announcement as per Nellie Andreeva of Deadline is that after season 6, Silicon Valley will be no more. The show has been running steadily for a while and it’s a little obvious that people have been enjoying the content and the characters given that they’ve been excited for each new season to come out. But as the creators have already stated it was left up to the producers to say whether or not there was any more that could be done with the show and if there any other directions or plot lines that could be divined for the future. It would appear that in their mind this is a fitting end since things have come far enough that they feel comfortable with saying goodbye after a sixth and final season. Fans might come up with more than a few ideas as the lines of thought that many people entertain tend to allow for a great number of ‘what-ifs’ and theoretical questions that might take the characters off in very different directions. But overall, Silicon Valley is going to be saying goodbye after the next season it would sound like.

To reach six seasons is a milestone in any show since the development of a plot and the ability of the characters to drive the story is something that has to be developed throughout a certain number of episodes before it can be said to be successful or just moderately popular. It’s amusing really but it only takes one or two episodes sometimes for a show to be defined as truly horrible since some shows haven’t even made it past their pilot. Silicon Valley though has held enough interest thanks to the general idea of the show and the characters that have been created throughout its run, thereby insuring that it’s bound to be remembered by those that really enjoyed watching. There are a lot of people that might not care one way or another since the idea of Silicon Valley in real life is less than appealing and thus Silicon Valley on TV is even less so. It’s not exactly a show that was designed solely for intellectuals and the truly bold that can understand every aspect of it from start to finish, but it does seem to help at times since the ideas and the basis of the show tend to be a bit beyond some folks. In many ways it’s just another TV program designed to entertain and target a certain crowd that might appreciate a good bit of humor and drama that depicts their lifestyle in a pleasing way.

The truth of it though is that, despite fitting a certain niche, Silicon Valley has been just like any other show as it’s attempted to showcase a certain lifestyle and set of interests that some might not understand and some might not care about. In truth action/adventure shows and even sporting shows do the same thing if you want to be perfectly honest about it. They each cater to a certain crowd that wants to see them continue as much as possible but in some cases might sense when the end is getting near, even if they don’t want to admit it. The cast is largely the same as the only one among them that bowed out for reasons that could have helped the show in the long term was T.J. Miller, who was dealing with a massive controversy and had to lay low for a bit. But all in all it would seem that the guys of Pied Piper are at the terminus of their journey, at least as far as the show goes, and will be moving on without us as they embark upon their final season. This coming October is when the show is expected to return as Joseph Baxter from Den of Geek! has reported, which means it’s not that far off. It might be time for those that haven’t seen every season to start binge-watching so they can catch up and possibly understand why things have come to a head like this and why the show was so special in the first place.

The coming season has already been reportedly shortened by a few episodes so it won’t last quite as long, but that seems to be by design as well since the showrunners might want to simply saunter off into the sunset as they go on about their way towards other projects. Needless to say a lot of people are going to be likely to express their desire to see a different ending, or an episode depicted in a different way, as it’s become pretty normal for this to happen. People don’t like it when their favorite shows just up and go away, but eventually we all tend to find something else to watch.
