General Hospital’s Most Eye-Rolling Deaths

General Hospital’s Most Eye-Rolling Deaths

When you live in Port Charles, anything can happen, and anything will happen. Fans of General Hospital know that there is a lot that happens around here on a regular basis, and we also know that there is a lot we cannot control or handle in this situation. We know, for example, that we have some big situations to fill when it comes to the characters who have some drama in their lives. We also know that people will die. We know that many of them will come back, but we also know that nothing irritates fans more than silly deaths. We do realize that we need the drama associated with some of the deaths around Port Charles, but we do find ourselves slightly offended that the writers sometimes feel that the deaths they hand us are worthwhile. Some are so ridiculous that we just cannot get on board with them.

Stefan’s Cliff Death

What didn’t work for us about this one is the fact that it wasn’t even supposed to be his death. He and Luke were fighting on the cliffs of the mansion — why they all feel this is the best place to meet those who have some big problems with them is beyond us, to be quite honest — and Luke was stabbed. Stefan wanted him to die. He wanted this young man to die with the knife he shoved into his body, but it did not work out like that for him. Instead of the actual stabbing killing Luke, Stefan tripped and fell over the cliff to his own death. However, once he realized he was falling to his death, he did take a few of his precious seconds of life to say some very ugly things to Luke that would forever stay with him. Of course, the realistic cause of death didn’t cause death. It was the unrealistic one.

Katherine’s Double Fall

Remember when Katherine Bell fell to her death in 1998? She fell from the parapet, and it caused her to die. But that wasn’t enough. Not only did she fall, and it happens when you aren’t careful along a low wall like that, but she fell twice. You see, she was dead, but Helena wanted to see if she could bring her back to life. She wanted to give her some experimental medication that would take a dead body — dead for months, by the way — and bring it back to life. We should be more concerned with the fact that Helena is so happy to keep all those bodies at home to just throw meds at when she feels as if she can bring them back to life. Well, it worked, and she was brought back from the dead. Creepy, yes. But the fact of the matter is that she was killed by falling off the same parapet yet again, only a year after she died there the first time. You’d think she would have learned her lesson, but that’s not something people seem to do around here all that often.

Stavros’ Freezing

It happened to his father, MIkkos, when Luke through him into a freezer and he was left there to die. It’s not the traditional way to murder a body, but we suppose it helps with the smell and the mess if you prefer to keep things as clean as possible. What is crazy about this one, however, is the simple fact that the show thought it would be fun to keep this situation going for a second term. How about not only killing people with a freezer one time, but also killing that man’s son for a second time? It doesn’t really work for us, but it did work for some people. Stavros suffered the same fate when Lulu was put in a chamber and left the freeze because he was so obsessed with her. It turns out that Luke and Laura would rescue her by throwing him into the room and lowering the temperature so that he would die. We found it quite interesting in so many ways, but it works for them to get this situation to work for them a second time. We suppose it did work the first…
