Young and the Restless fans are big fans of some of the big love triangles around here, but it seems there are more than we can count. If there is a show that seems as if there are more than others, it’s this one. In Genoa City, it’s almost like you aren’t really in a relationship or marriage or in a situation that is good for you if you are not in a love triangle. We aren’t sure that we can handle that kind of information, but it works for some. We are just sitting over here wondering if there is anything else we can do to make this situation seem more realistic, but we aren’t sure there is much going on in this manner of speaking. We do think there is a lot going on around here that could be interesting to us — but we do think that some love triangles are better than others. Want to know which ones we love the most?
Jack, Victor, and Nikki
What we love about Nikki is that she doesn’t seem to need either of them, but she cannot be without either of them. She’s a woman who seems to genuinely love both men, but in a different way. We think she really cares more for Jack than for Victor, but Victor is a man with too much power for her to ignore. She likes to be with him because they have so many kids together, but they also seem to have more than their fair share of issues. They are a kind of couple that makes things work when they have to, but they are also a kind of couple that might not work well together if they are not working in their own situations. They are a mess, and we kind of like it. We kind of like to see these men fight over this woman, and for her to not know or care what the other thinks. Situations like this seem to work really well for her, and she’s not ashamed of that in any way, to be quite honest. We like that about her.
Phyllis, Billy, Victoria
He is a man who is always torn between these two women, but we have to admit that we do not get it. At all. If we are being quite honest, we think that Victoria and Billy belong together. They are both a little immature and petulant, and they don’t really seem to have much control over their lives or the things that they are living, but we think that they belong together. She’s not someone who is above him, but we feel that Phyllis is. She’s a controlling, powerful, domineering woman whereas Vickie just is not. And Billy is too immature and ridiculous. And we cannot figure out what Phyllis sees in him. She’s far too good for this man, and we think that she might only care for him when she does because he is a man who is with Victoria, and she hates her. And this might be a power situation. She’s down for it because it hurts Vickie, and that might be her end game.
Sharon, Phyllis, and Nick
This is another one we don’t get. He clearly belongs with Sharon, but he cannot even make up his mind when he is presented with the options to make the right choice. He cannot seem to get his life together enough when it comes to Sharon and Phyllis. We also think that he is all wrong for Phyllis. Again, she’s not someone who belongs with him. We like her with Jack, to be very clear. But, for now, we will just say that these two women seem to go for this man also for the same reason. Sharon might really love him, but Phyllis likes to win. And she likes to win against other women, and Sharon is a woman whom she likes to beat. So, that’s why she’s in this triangle, if you ask us. She’s not looking for anything serious or long-term with him, she wants him when he’s with Sharon because that’s more fun. She likes other people’s stuff, apparently.
