The Bold and the Beautiful may not have been on the air as long as other soaps of the same nature, but that doesn’t mean we haven’t seen a lot happen over the years. We get to see some serious situations go on around here, and that’s the beauty of this show. However, it’s also the situation that brings us a lot of stress. There are some characters who constantly bring the heat, the drama, and the struggle, and there are some who can’t quite get there. And that’s where we are right now. We are totally stuck in a world where we cannot get our minds made up about how we feel about some characters. It’s like they started out hot and amazing with their stories, and then they faded off. And while some of them are coming back lately, we can’t help but wonder why we cannot get more action from them. Don’t you agree?
Katie
She’s been someone who has had plenty of her own situations to deal with, but she’s also fallen off the wagon a bit over the years. She’s been a mess, and then she’s been something less than a mess, and then she’s been a bit of a boring character. She’s been a lot boring lately. She did have that fling with Wyatt that we though was the most exciting thing she’d done in a while, but that was over quickly. She’s in the middle of a custody situation with her ex right now, but even that has turned into drama that doesn’t concern her in the least. The last time she was exciting was a while ago, and we miss the things she used to bring to the table. She’s not bringing much these days, and that’s a total bore.
Wyatt
Even Wyatt is happy, and apparently we are bored with happy people around here. We do say all the time that we don’t like the people who are involved in drama all the time, but that does seem to be where the entertainment value on television goes. They can have a lot of fun without someone being bad to others, and Wyatt’s been nothing short of boring. He’s beyond cute and exciting with Sally, but we’d love to see an unplanned pregnancy or a wedding or something. He wasn’t exciting for a few years now, and we almost miss the days when he was looking to steal Steffy from his brother. Maybe he can have little more drama come his way in the near future — but nothing that ends his relationship with Sally. We love her too much with him to be willing to see that go anywhere. They need to have something happen that they have to deal with together or something. Otherwise, they’ve become too boring and we cannot take that from them at this point.
Quinn
We fondly remember the days she used to kidnap young men and knock them out and lie to them and hold them hostage so her son could get a wife of his own. And we remember the times she was willing to push men off of the sides of cliffs to get her way with them. And we remember those days very fondly. However, we do not remember ever thinking that there was a time when we liked her doing nothing, saying nothing, being nothing. She’s too boring. Quinn is a landmark of drama and we cannot figure out why she was taken off her crazy train and put on stepford wife duty with Eric. She’s currently in the middle of a conflict with Pam and Donna, and we are hoping this is the time she will eventually show back up to play the game. If we could just see her push one of them over a cliff or poison their coffee or something to that effect, we’d be so excited about all of it. We just cannot handle boring Quinn. She doesn’t work for us. Maybe she could steal someone’s husband again — sleep with Ridge or Thorne or Bill or something. That would be awesome, and we’d welcome that Quinn back with some seriously open arms and a lot of excitement.
