The Young and the Restless Behind the Scenes Gossip

Young and the Restless fans might get to see a new episode today, which is not like any other soap, but we already told you about that one. Right now, we are telling you all about what is going on when you don’t see cameras rolling. Every show that spends this much time filming and these people spend this much time together, you can assume that they have some serious cast drama and that things might not always be as they seem. But we have some very fun stuff to tell you all about when it comes to the behind-the-scenes information you’re getting. Here you go, and you’re welcome.

First Takes Are It

Of course we know this by now given the fact that there is so much to shoot for a week and so little time in which to do it, and everyone has to get it right he first time. The man who plays Billy Abbott once shared that it’s pretty good, too. They are good about it, and they have some very talented skills and actors on the show. They can get their takes right on the first shot perfectly almost every time. In fact, according to him, there is nothing like getting it right 95% of the time. That might be an impressive statistic, but we are just impressed that anyone can do that.

Victor Wasn’t Meant to be Permanent

When he was first cast in the year 1980, there was very little that we can do about that. He was a man who was set to spend six months on the show, and that was it. There was nothing else that they wanted from him, and they were going to have him there for a moment while they filmed what they needed and moved on. However, fans loved him so much, well they loved to hate him so much, that the show decided to keep him around longer. Anyway, that was back in 1980, and it’s now been almost 40 years of watching him become the most powerful person in the city, and we all love him.

Actors Don’t Know What’s Happening

If you think that the people on the show always know what is happening to them and their characters, you’d be mistaken. There is no reason that the show has to share that information with the people doing the job, and that is very clear when you talk to Camryn Grimes. She was Cassie Newman until she died many years ago, and then she suddenly came back to do some shows years later as the long-dead Cassie. Even she didn’t know that she was not even really Cassie, but actually her long-lost twin sister, Mariah. She didn’t even know.

Victor and Jack Didn’t Always Get Along

We know them to be the greatest of adversaries on the show, but did you know there was a time when they didn’t get along in real life? It was something that they didn’t have any control over in our opinion, because they didn’t have much of a situation before that. They must have gone through something specific at that time after working together for nine years. However, the creator of the show decided that two of the biggest characters on the show were not about to sit back and feud in real life, so he made it all go away. We don’t know what he said or did, but he made it clear to them that they were not going to behave this way.

Keeping the Privacy

This is a show in which there are more than a few love scenes on the regular, but they like to keep it classy. If one person’s body parts are accidentally exposed during a scene, cameras are automatically blacked out, the room is cleared, and everyone is put back together. The show works very hard to ensure that all people are given the privacy they need to maintain their dignity even when things don’t work out in their favor. You won’t find an accidental body part on the air at any point in time because that’s just now how they work on this set specifically.
