Three of the Most Disappointing Bold and the Beautiful Story Lines

The Bold and the Beautiful fans might not have nearly the same amount of history in this show as many other people in other shows, but that doesn’t mean we haven’t had ample time to feel disappointed and let down by the many storylines that come and go around here. There are always stories that make us turn around and feel good about what is going on, and then there are those that make us raise an eyebrow in disgust because they just are not good lines. And now we want to discuss some of our least favorite. The show is a lot more hits than misses, but when they miss, they miss hard. And that’s why these are some of the most disappointing story lines of all time.

Quinn Kidnapping Liam

Okay, Quinn. We get it. You don’t like to see your son unhappy and not living his best life. It’s a mother’s natural instinct, and we totally understand that. The thing about moms is that they always want to see things work out for the best, but they also want to see things work out the way their kids want them to — even if it’s not meant to be in any way. When Liam fell for Steffy a few years back, she was a good friend to him. She leaned hard on him when things were not going well for her with Liam. She and Liam had been married and then divorced, and they were in a bad place again. She wanted to get remarried to him, but she was worried that he was not all that into her. Ivy was coming back, things were going astray for her, and he was not that into her.

Except, he was. But that’s when Quinn realized that Steffy would never fall for Wyatt if Liam was in the picture. So, she hit him on the head, caused him to lose consciousness and his memory, and she hid him out in her cabin. She used his phone to send a text to Steffy telling her that he was done with her, to move on, and that he would be traveling for an undetermined amount of time. And then she let Liam believe that she was his wife and that they were living their actual life. It was all ugly, and yet somehow no one was too mad at her in the long run. We don’t get that.

Quinn and Ridge

Here is another moment that we just don’t love. That was a story line that happened recently, and it was a mess. Quinn was newly married to Eric, Ridge’s father. And we saw the two of them have a very emotional affair that never really went further than a few kisses here and there. But Ridge was engaged to marry Brooke at the time, and Quinn was a newlywed. When it all came out, everyone forgave everyone. After a few months, Eric and Quinn were totally okay, everyone was fine with Ridge, who actually tired to have an affair with his own father’s wife, and that was that. It was all good and no one was any wiser.

Wyatt and Katie

Okay, so we did not hate this story. It’s more like we just weren’t big fans of the end of it. They were both always unlucky in love thanks to their more boisterous and abrasive siblings. Wyatt was always losing women to Liam, and Katie is always losing men to Brooke. It was like they were soul mates living the same life in different bodies. They both know what it’s like to always be the second choice. The great friend. But the, “It’s not you, it’s me,” person when it comes to their love lives. When they got together, we liked it a lot.

But then they ended it. Just like that. There was very little warning. They were getting married, and then they were not. Then Katie was married to Thorne and Wyatt was constantly with Sally Spectra, and everyone just moved on and about their lives like there was no problem whatsoever. This was all kinds of disappointing to us. We wanted more closure for them.
