Tim McGraw seems to have had kind of a different life, not rough to the point that it’s unbearable but definitely a little tougher than some. He grew up believing his stepfather was his real father until he met his biological dad, a pro baseball player named Tug McGraw. Tug initially denied that Tim was his son but by the time Tim turned 18 they’d formed a bond that lasted until Tug’s passing in 2004. Initially it doesn’t sound like Tim really took a shine to music until his college years when he picked up a guitar and learned how to play. He’s even been heard to say that his friends would take his guitar since they thought he was that bad at playing it. But it would seem the joke is on them since during his career he’s proven to be one of the hottest country stars on the scene and has the reputation to prove it.

5. The Shack – Keep Your Eyes On Me
How many of us want to pass judgment on those that cross our path in life? How many of us do it? Mack is the kind of guy that had a life that was going just fine until his daughter was abducted and presumably killed by a serial killer. With that his faith and his life shattered and he had little to nothing left to go on. But upon gaining an invitation to an old abandoned shack he comes across a trio of strangers that are kind, warm, and are able to grant him a different outlook on life that allows Mack to gain a better perspective so that he can move on with his life rather than keep punishing himself for things he can’t change.
4. Home on the Range -Wherever the Trail May Lead
Animated stories about animals taking matters into their own hands when things are at their worst tend to be something that families love to watch and Home On The Range was one film that was great for both adults and kids since it catered to both. The story is pretty straightforward since it follows a trio of cows that are attempting to capture a criminal that’s been rustling cows from one farm after another so that he can buy up the land when the bank forecloses. From that point you can imagine that it’s a lot of chasing, gags, and continuously funny moments that are the hallmark of such films.
3. Flicka – My Little Girl
Sometimes you’ve got to stand by your convictions no matter what comes or how hard people are going to fight against you. Katy learns that lesson the hard way when she declares that she wants to run her father’s ranch, only to be sent off to school so that he can groom his son, who actually wants to go to college, instead. When Katy meets Flicka however her defiance only continues to grow, and when her father sells Flicka to the rodeo she decides to stand firmly against him until finally, after nearly dying in the wild and proving that she’s not backing down, her father sees the light and lets his son go off to college as he decides to train Katy how to take care of the ranch.
2. The Oscars – I’m Not Gonna Miss You
It’s always nice to see a tribute to another artist, as McGraw did for legend Glenn Campbell at the 2015 Oscars. If you’re going to shine and also have a desire to remember the work and times of another great performer then this is the place to do it since millions of people are watching the Oscars every year they come on and a lot of them are watching to see just how the performances roll by and what they can either gossip on or be impressed by as a response. In this manner it’s very respectful, not to mention impressive, to see that McGraw is the kind of guy that honors tradition.
1. Veep – Can’t Be Really Gone
Veep is about the Vice President of the US and her routine as well as non-routine days in the White House as she attempts to do the best job she can and not be too set back by the fact that she and the POTUS don’t have the working relationship. But when the president decides to not run after his term is up she decides to throw her hat in the ring in an attempt to see if she can run the country just as well if not better. It’s a premise that many people would love to see play out in real life, but also one that the country hasn’t seemed to fully embrace yet. Maybe soon, who knows.
