The Best Uses of Maroon 5 Songs in TV

It’s interesting to note that the core members of the band tried their hand at success earlier in the 1990s as Kara’s Flowers and only released one album. After their label dropped them they focused on college and then came back in 2001 as Maroon 5, whereupon they started blowing up and blowing people’s minds with their new music and just in general started to entertain the notion of success. As you might already know that success started to climb, and climb, and climb until now when Maroon 5 is one of the best-known bands around and their front man, Adam Levine, is off the charts when it comes to his own personal fame. Their songs are a lot of fun if you sit and listen to them and offer a great deal of entertainment as well as the kind of material that many people love to listen to.

Here are just a few ways that Maroon 5 has become such a big hit in TV.

5. Lip Sync Battle – Moves Like Jagger

With lists such as these you should almost expect Lip Sync Battle to come up since it’s one of the most fun shows around and is engaging on a level that’s kind of silly but rightfully so since it’s all about just getting up on the stage and having fun for the celebrities that seek to entertain the crowd. Some of the entertainers have gone all out when it comes to their costumes and the backup dancers and setting that are put into place for each performance, and it’s nothing short of impressive when some of them get up on stage and start working with what they’ve got to create the best act possible.

4. Elementary – Animals

What do you get when you put a modern-day Sherlock Holmes in New York? You get a show that’s fairly entertaining but is in effect just about the same super sleuth as he’s been throughout history with a few modifications thrown in to make it more interesting for the current era. It’s a show that you can get into if you happen to like Sherlock Holmes since it does manage to keep some of the original thrill and allure but there are moments when it seems to modernize just a tad too much and thus kind of loses the original flair of the greatest detective to ever live in literature.

3. Shameless – Payphone

Maroon 5 is just one of many upon many artists featured in Shameless but considering how great of a show it’s been you can see how it might be beneficial to have a couple of their songs featured in the project and in a way that makes it blatantly obvious that it’s their song. The show itself is kind of up in the air when you really consider what it’s all about and who it attracts as far as its fanbase. Honestly it’s an over the top show that’s not afraid to go above and beyond when it comes to depravity, comedy, and subjects that you can just barely believe they went there with. That’s probably why it’s been one of the favorites for a while.

2. The X Factor – Sunday Morning

That seems like it would be either a very big boost to one’s ego to hear someone else singing their song or a cringe-worthy moment if that person hit the wrong notes or just butchered the song altogether. But all in all it does seem like something that might flatter a performer since it means they inspired someone enough to go on stage and try to put forth another version of their song in front of a large audience. If nothing else it’s something that the original artist can be proud of since good or bad it means they’re getting through to people and the audience is willing to stand up and respond in a positive manner.

1. Maroon 5 – What Lovers Do

Maroon 5’s success has been off the charts in some years and kind of steady in others but throughout the last 17 years they’ve managed to wow their audiences and display the kind of skill that’s inherent in those that are destined to stick around for a while. The group has only moved on from one member over the years and quite honestly it seems very impressive that they’ve stuck together for so long. In fact if not for injury to Ryan Dusick’s arm, caused by the continuous gigs and stress that was placed on the limb, he might have remained a part of the band. But things happen and the show has to go on.

It’s safe to think that they might be around for a long while since their success hasn’t yet seen a serious decline and they’ve managed to endear themselves to those that were growing up when they first came out and those that came along after.
