Days of Our Lives fans are concerned that there is a problem between Abigail and her real self. She’s no longer battling her alter egos and double and triple personalities, but she is now battling herself. Which, technically, does seem a lot like the same thing. It’s an issue she’s got to work through, but she’s learning more abou what she did and how it happened to her as the days go on, and she’s not all that strong. For one, it’s hard to come back from your life realizing you have weeks missing from your memory. You don’t know where you were, who you were with, or what you were doing.
And then to find out that you did all these horrible things to people you love so much and don’t like in other situations is rough. She’s not a super strong as it is, even though she’s been through so much in her life. What she’s been through has made her tired. We don’t want to call her weak. She is not weak, but she’s also not all that strong when it comes to owning what she’s done to these people she loves so much. She’s got some issues to face, and we cannot help but realize that this might be the time she learns to face them.
She is not someone who will fight for herself. She will, however, fight for all the people in her life. She will do anything and everything to help the people in her life get what they want and need, but she will not go out of her own way to give herself the same grace. She will be too upset by what she’s done to them, the harm she’s caused them, to do this for herself. She’s sad, and she will not face this with anything less than grace — no fight, but total grace. She almost wants to be punished and suffer so she can feel better about what’s happened in her life. It’s sad and very strange to us, but she is who she is.
