Young and the Restless fans have been watching as Victoria has been going through something that’s awful. We think it’s probably time to take a moment to discuss what she’s dealing with. She’s bringing to light a story line that’s not uncommon in the lives of so many men and women. She’s not someone who usually goes through problems the rest of us go through, but there are plenty of men and women all over the world who do go through this particular problem.
Domestic abuse is not a joke, and it’s not a game. Abusing someone in your household or someone you love is not all right, and being a victim doesn’t make you weak. You do not have to sit through this kind of abuse and deal with it. You do have options even when it does not feel this is true. You have a future, hope, and you have a chance.
Right now Vickie is making the choice to tell her girlfriends what is going on, and they want to help her. She’s going to get through this because she had the bravery to speak up about it and make it known that this is going on in her life. She’s not happy, and she knows that this will not change if she doesn’t make it change. She’s making moves, and she’s showing women going through this in their real lives that it’s possible to get through this and overcome someone else’s demons in hopes of a brighter future.
