Maren Morris is a country music singer that’s amassed a great deal of fame in her time within the industry, which has been just a few years over a decade. To date she’s become one of the more well-known names in the music industry and is still on the rise to be honest. She’s been on tour, cut albums, and been doing just about whatever it takes to keep her forward momentum going, finding that she’s been able to do so with a lot of hard work and determination.
That’s what it seems to take sometimes.
5. She started her career in 2005.
This would have made her about fifteen years old, which means that she got a pretty good jump start on a career when she was still fairly young. It’s amazing how many people these days are getting their beginning at such a young age and aren’t burning out by the time they hit their twenties. Morris is 27 at this time and is still going strong with a very big desire to continue her career for as long as she can.
4. She used to write songs for other artists.
This isn’t a bad way to start as it allows a person to get the feel for writing the songs and possibly performing them to themselves just to see if they’ll work. From that point on they might even get to jam with the artists they give the songs to just so that they can learn a little more. It’s a big learning experience it would seem that allows a person to understand just how the business works and how they can continue to find their place in it.
3. She wrote a song in response to the Las Vegas strip shooting.
The song was called Dear Hate, and all proceeds from the track went towards the Music City Cares Fund. A lot of people were affected by the shooting that occurred in Vegas, and yet many people stood up in defiance of the act and decided to give back to the people that had been affected. It seems a lot better to stand up and do something rather than let the terror win out by allowing it to make people more paranoid and afraid to go anywhere, or help anyone.
2. She signed to Columbia Nashville in 2015.
After she released five songs that were viewed well over two million times she gained the notice of those that wanted to sign her and in 2015 her voice and her music had found a home. She was considered to be one of the most popular people on Spotify for a while, which all but secured her fame as she was signed not too long after.
1. She was rejected from The Voice and from American Idol.
Quite honestly she’s glad that she was rejected from these shows as she’s been able to follow her own course ever since. Just because someone is rejected from those shows doesn’t mean that they won’t ever be famous. After all despite their vast experience the judges don’t know everything.
She made her own way, that’s impressive.
