Bleona Qereti is an Albanian singer and actress. She’s been in the US since around 2009 and has been putting out albums since. As a young girl she was fairly ambitious and now as a grown woman she’s keeping her career going with some help and a lot of her own momentum. So far she’s been pretty successful in the things she’s done and while she’s not known as well as some she is still a known name in the music industry as she’s put out a fair amount of albums for people to enjoy.
She’s still relatively young in her late 30’s.
5. At age 15 she began singing and performing.
She started off singing and performing at Albanian music festivals, which typically would give a person great exposure depending on the festival’s attendance. It’s still a great way for anyone to start since it allows them to get past the jitters and other stage problems that might come along and otherwise scare someone away from the experience. To date it seems that she’s done just fine with her career and has no issues that have stopped her so far.
4. Her parents sent her to business school at age 13.
She acquiesced to their request it would seem but still managed to keep her interests in acting and singing alive. Knowing a bit of business savvy wouldn’t hurt too much if one intends to get into the music business and wants a few points on what to do and how to invest their time and money. It could be a boon in disguise since many business courses tend to be so dry and boring.
3. She plays the violin.
This is an instrument you don’t hear about a lot of people picking up. Some play it in a masterful way that leaves you feeling every last bit of emotion that the artist has to give, while with others it’s little more than a shriek. Those that manage to learn the violin and play it with the kind of intricacy the instrument deserves are quite talented and can bolster their singing talent, if they have any, with this wonderful sound as well.
2. Her first US tour was in 2004.
She’s been touring the US since and finally came over to stay in 2009. She still makes regular trips back home and hasn’t forgotten her heritage one bit it would seem since she is proud of where she comes from. But touring around the world can take a lot out of a person and their time so it would seem that she stays in the US more often than she does in Albania.
1. She’s been on the jury of the X Factor in Albania.
X Factor is pretty much like American Idol in many ways as it’s a musical competition designed to see just who has the kind of talent that people are looking to develop and produce and who still needs to work on it. The show is kind of brutal at times in how they judge people but it’s also understood that if you can’t perform, you simply can’t perform.
Bleona can definitely perform.
