If you ever wanted to know who does the lines for South Park’s character Ike, here you go. Trey Parker’s daughter is seen here recording lines for Ike. Now obviously most people would never let their kids say something like this unless they were into some form of open parenting which allowed their kids to run wild and just do or say whatever they’d like. From the clip though one can get the feeling that the Parker’s don’t really allow their daughter to run roughshod over them like this just saying whatever she wants. In fact his little girl seems kind of embarrassed in front of the mic to begin with, so it’s likely that she doesn’t get away with much of anything in this fashion unless it happens to be allowed.
South Park though is notorious for its younger characters being able to swear and do pretty much whatever comes to mind. The adults on the show are basically giant children at times and the kids kind of have to fend for themselves now and again, so it’s not too surprising that they’d be foul-mouthed little hooligans that know more about various aspects of the world than some adults do. But really it seems like a lot of parents would have an issue with what Parker is doing here with his daughter so far as the language. Thankfully though that’s not his problem and he probably wouldn’t listen to people if they did sound off on him. That’s the wonderful thing about the show, people don’t have to watch if they don’t want to and the creators don’t have to deal with the people if they don’t feel like it.
The show has been getting heat about its language and content since it first came on. A lot of people that don’t care for it likely thought that South Park would be a fad that would come and go. Years later though it’s still here and still thriving, so those naysayers must be pretty steamed by now unless they’ve moved on to something else worthy of their particular brand of venom. It’s enough to not like a show, it’s even allowed to hate a show, but throwing shade at it just because it doesn’t fit in with your idea of what a show should be like is no longer a popular method in the modern era. With so many different shows to watch and so many different things to pay attention to there’s no excuse for throwing so much hate at a show that one could easily avoid. In this day and age all a person has to do is change the channel and they’ll be subjected to another kind of entertainment that might not offend them as much.
In the case of Parker’s daughter being asked to swear to record lines any person should keep in mind that even as he’s laughing he’s no doubt letting her know later on that this isn’t how she’s allowed to speak normally. Honestly, it doesn’t seem like he’d be letting her pop off whenever she wants without some consequences.
