These three adorable sisters recreating the 2018 Oscars Best Pictures nominees give a lot of people hope for the future of cinema since they do such a good an accurate job of bringing the movies to life in their own way. The girl above on the right looks every bit as disinterested about her situation as Ladybird does, though you can surmise that she didn’t jump out of a car to recreate the broken wrist. Still it’s great effect and she even got the color right. And the girl to her right even got the hair ties in correctly, or at least close enough that you wouldn’t bother telling them otherwise. I mean come on, they recreated this scene in such vivid detail that there’s absolutely no need to nitpick.
The Darkest Hour
Thankfully they’re only going for effect and not complete likeness since otherwise this girl would have had to wear a rather weighty bodysuit and carry around a cigar at all times. It’s been cited that Gary Oldman actually got nicotine poisoning from having to smoke so many cigars during the movie. When one would go out they’d light another one and he’d have to go through the process. You’d think they would have at least been able to give him something that could have acted like a prop instead damaging his health in that way. Obviously this effect came through just fine sans the cigars and the extra padded suit since the girl absolutely rocks it.

You could say that Call Me By Your Name is the kind of movie that draws a certain audience and you’d be right, but a lot of folks liked it and as a nominee it obviously deserved to be there. The kids recreate it pretty well since the two leads did in fact spend a lot of time together on and off the set. Once again there’s no need to nitpick and there was obviously no need to get any other photo except this since the movie was a bit risque at points during the production and the actual filming. But hey, the recreation of this scene is something great.
Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri
The plot of this movie seems like it would be the likely reaction of a lot of people that suffered such an injustice, or at least the desire. Losing a child is something that could gut any parent, but the realization that no one has been made to pay for it would be even worse since the loss would essentially mean nothing, that fate is simply aligned against people at times and offers nothing but pain and heartache without a sense of relief that justice of some sort will be done. This girl looks like she could have lost her sister and had a similar reaction, but the effect is just as poignant.
People should feel like giving a round of applause and perhaps even a standing ovation to these girls, they did a great job on these images.
