Young and the Restless fans know nothing is ever what it seems, which is why we are so curious how things might work out for Cane and Lily. There was so much they had to fight for at one point, and it all turned around when he cheated on her and got another woman pregnant. He didn’t remember it, and we think he was either drugged and that story line didn’t work out the way writers thought or he was just so drunk he really didn’t remember.
Either way, he was horrified when he realized what he did, and that’s what makes it all the more interesting. They had to focus on that for a moment, but it was when he continued to lie about it all that the situation went downhill for him. He couldn’t make it better after that, and Lily couldn’t forgive him.
Now that Juliet is dead and he has their baby, Lily is struggling. She’s not bonding with the baby, and she’s not feeling anything for the baby at all. She knows a child can’t live with someone who can’t even form a friendship with him, and she’s worried she can’t be with her husband because of that. They’re trying to figure something out to help them get through this, but we don’t think they can. We think they are over, but we also hope they can pick things back up sometime in the future. It might make their lives a little better.
