First Bitcoin Funded TV Drama ‘Children Of Satoshi’ Set To Start Filming

Children of Satoshi is the about to be the first Bitcoin-funded TV drama ever made and it’s about to start filming. The plot of the show is about a CIA Crypto Analyst that is on the run from the government and the assassin’s of the rumored 1% that are out to silence him for good. If he does prove his innocence it will mean the downfall of the world banking industry. The task he needs to complete is to find the architect of the Bitcoin industry. Failure means the financial crash of the banking industry and a worldwide phenomenon in which every last person would finally be financially equal. That sounds like a dream come true for some people.

The fact that this drama is being funded by Bitcoin seems like it should give some people a bit of pause since Bitcoin has been seeing a bit of a drop recently. It’s proved that it’s not a certain thing of yet, which makes it a great subject for a drama but not something you might want to fund a venture like this with. The drama itself sounds pretty cool and it might be engaging enough to draw the attention of viewers that want a good thriller to watch. But the idea behind it, that the one percent are out to get someone because he has information that could ruin the banking industry worldwide, seems to strike too close to reality it would seem. So far there hasn’t been any word of outrage or anything along those lines, so it must not be something that anyone’s really worrying about. It is a show after all.

The idea of crytocurrency taking over as the main form of currency in the world however does sound a little silly just now. Bitcoin is after all not quite ready to take on that responsibility it would seem, at least not in the same regard as what is currently used as currency. A drama about this seems like it might drag on a little if that were the whole plot, but even with someone’s life in the balance it almost seems like it’s an attempt that might meet with a bit of difficulty. I could be wrong though and this could be a hit when it comes out. As of now it’s just started filming at a whopping $1.4 million per episode. That might not seem like very much when placed against other shows but considering what the going rate of Bitcoin is it could be more than can be afforded if the show is in fact using Bitcoin to fund it. If Bitcoin is dropping this could be less than a sure thing and more of a bargain basement deal than many people would think.

At this time though it might be best to just sit back and wait for the first episodes to come out and make our judgments then. It might be worth watching.
