This isn’t just a video of Harvey Weinstein getting smacked in the face, it’s a video of him basically getting pimp-smacked and being forced to take it. This video from a bar in Arizona doesn’t give much of a reason why he and his friend are being tossed to the curb but it’s kind of funny to watch anyway since after all that’s happened he really deserves this. Those that are still able to defend him are becoming fewer and fewer as the days go by, and the reaction to his presence seems to be getting more and more akin to the guy in this video as it’s a travesty that he’s even allowed to walk around a free man. Of course without the concrete evidence that the law would need and the unfortunate fact that a lot of this happened far too long ago for many prosecutors to pursue it’s not likely that Weinstein will serve any real jail time. Soiling his own reputation will have to do it seems, but it’s not likely that the man will be truly hurting for cash anytime soon since I get the idea that someone will want to do his story one of these days and will have to pay him royalties for it, which could potentially put him back on top again.
The lid that was covering the boiling pot of controversy in Hollywood was completely flipped last year and Weinstein seems to have been the final insult that sent that particular stew bubbling over the edge. While he can’t do much in this video to stop the guy from taking his picture the unfortunate part is that he could have had the other guy arrested for assault. Even the fact that Weinstein isn’t much in the way of a person deserving of help from anyone the law would have had to fall on his side in that matter. Honestly though it’s like he didn’t even notice it. Either the guy that slapped him wasn’t trying to hurt him and instead shame him or Harvey wasn’t too concerned about it at the moment. The other guy acted like more of a jerk than Harvey if that’s possible, asking the guy that slapped Weinstein what he would do about it, meaning what would the slapper do about getting Harvey out of the building. Guys that act that cocky without backing it up are kind of annoying since they talk a great game but don’t ever seem ready to do anything.
Honestly and truly I’d love to stop hearing and writing about Harvey Weinstein but the guy has opened himself up for a lot of abuse in the media by perpetrating what will no doubt come to be seen as one of the biggest scandals of the last several years. Somehow while not meaning to he blew the lid off of something that has been churning and bubbling for years and in the process managed to expose not just himself, but several others as well. Yeah, he deserves good slap, but so far life seems to be taking it way too easy on him.
