Kiernan is an Irish name. To be exact, it is an Irish surname that comes from shortening McKiernan, which in turn, is based on Mág Tighearnán. For those who are curious, Mág Tighearnán means “Son of Tighearnán,” so it should come as no surprise to learn that the name comes from someone named Tighearnán who is believed to have lived at around 1100. However, she was active as an actress for no more than a short period of time, seeing as how she retired when she was 26 so that she could get married to Prince Rainier III of Monaco. Unfortunately, Kelly passed away in 1982 when a stroke resulted in a car accident on a mountainside road.
Has Been Cast As Sabrina the Teenage Witch
Currently, Shipka’s name is in the news because she has been chosen to play the titular character in the Sabrina the Teenage Witch series that will be broadcast on Netflix at some point in the future. Unfortunately, not too much information has been revealed about the series at the moment. However, not too much information is not the same as no information whatsoever. For example, it is known that the series will be based on The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, meaning that interested individuals can expect it to be a much darker take on the character as well as her surrounding cast than previous projects on the TV screen.
