Actress, writer, producer, television host and all-around entertainment powerhouse, Ellen DeGeneres is bringing her high-energy, hilarious comedy to the primetime slot in January with the newest game show on NBC, called “Ellen’s Game of Games.” You know Ellen as the daytime talk show host, who has also won several Emmy’s and made it into the homes and hearts of people all over the country. While she is best known for the cute-kid and celebrity interviews, as well as the musical performances on her show, some of the things that are crowd favorites are the audience-participation games.
The Ellen You Know and Love
Currently, Ellen DeGeneres is the host and the executive producer of the comedy game-show that will be seen on NBC. However, these are the same games that Ellen show watchers know and love, just in supersized versions. The contestants for this new game show are going to be pulled right out of the audience and will have to move through a number of huge obstacles, answer all sorts of questions with tons of pressure and even face huge leaps into — well, who knows. All of this is done in an effort to win an amazingly large cash prize.
What to Expect from this New Game Show
Each of the episodes being aired is going to feature the one-of-a-kind hilarity that DeGeneres is known for. In addition to here infectious personality and a massive roster of games, which include Scary Go Round, Dizzy Dash and Blindfolded Musical Chairs, you never know what you are going to get. In addition to the games mentioned above, you will also see one game that is called “Don’t Leave Me Hanging,” and another, “You Bet Your Wife,” which a person will be suspended from the air and hang from the rafters. If you aren’t able to win the game, then you are dropped into a meringue pie, mashed potatoes, or anything else that may be sitting around.
The Rules
In the beginning, the contestants selected from the audience will play various games for four different rounds. The winner of each of these rounds will then advance to play what is being called, “Know or Go.” The winner of this round will then move on to the final round, where they will play Hot Hands and try to guess as many of the answers as they can in a certain amount of time. When it comes to game shows, this is definitely going to be one you don’t want to miss. What’s even better is that with this game show, it is one you can watch and enjoy with your entire family.
