General Hospital fans realize Laura is having a difficult time with things in her own life right now. Her grandson is a problem, her personal issues are getting the best of her, and she’s left just hoping for the best as her life goes on. She’s been given some of the worst luck out there, and things don’t seem to be improving for her. She is too much involved in the things that are going on in her grandchild’s life, and she is desperate for her son to come home from the dead.
She might not be entirely certain he is dead, and neither are we. We’ve heard rumors before the Nik has faked his death and that he is on the island with the Cassadine name. We’ve heard he was in too much trouble to not fake his death, and we’ve heard that he will do anything to stay alive. Even if that means hurting his mother and his family and all that stuff, he will do it.
And then there is the fact that he has to face his own demons. He’s got his own life to live, and his mother has entirely too much on her plate. She’s finally happy with a man, but she will not allow herself to get any closer to him for fear that he will hurt her or she will somehow do something to hurt him. Things aren’t always as good as they seem, but she might just have it as good as it is going to get.
