When it comes to describing how Michael Giacchino came upon his current career you can say that he hit the ground running and never really stopped. He was only ten when he became interested in the art of pairing music with stop motion animation. One of his teachers in high school noticed his talents and recommended to his parents that he attend the School of Visual Arts in New York City, where he dove headfirst into the program that was offered and excelled despite having a constantly busy schedule that kept him working around the clock until he finally landed an unpaid internship with Universal Pictures. Upon graduation Universal hired him, though later on he moved on to Disney. When they moved to LA, so did he, and from that point on his career just kept going up and up until he became one of the best known composers as well as a multiple award winner.
The guy definitely has a lot of talent, plus a lot of passion for his work.
5. Up
Up starts out on a positive note but takes one of the most saddening turns of any movie that people can remember in a long, long time. Once Ellie is gone Carl has to adjust to living a life all on his own, something he’s never done as an adult and just barely knows how to do. When his house is in danger of being claimed by a corporate bigwig however he takes his fate into his own hands.
4. Ratatouille
Remy’s tired of being a rat, which is a problem since that’s something that will never change. But when he finds that he has the kind of skill that’s needed for cooking, and then finds a venue in which he can excel, all it takes is a little push and a lot of trust and eventually he and his human friend Linguine come to find that their friendship is made of something more than convenience.
3. Inside Out
Ever wonder what all those feelings inside your head mean when you’re a kid? One moment you feel great and on top of the world and the next something comes crashing down and your emotions, which are pretty powerful when you’re little, jump up and take the controls. After moving from her home in Minnesota all the way to San Francisco, Riley’s emotions are more than just a little riled.
2. Jurassic World
The first park didn’t get to open. Why’s that? Oh no reason, someone sabotaged the controls, people died, you know, just what you might expect when you’re dealing with creatures that haven’t seen the light of day for millions of years. The funny thing is that if you want to get technical none of these creatures have ever seen the light of day in their current incarnation, ever. Now which is scarier?
1. Rogue One
There’s a reason why everything happens the way it does, and for those that were concerned about that strange effect that two proton torpedoes had on a massive station like the Death Star maybe this explanation will finally suffice. An exhaust vent doesn’t typically allow things to go IN since it’s pushing them OUT, but if the exhaust vent is sabotaged then it seems like it might not work in the same manner.
