Young and the Restless fans know Dina’s memory is not what it needs to be anymore. We know she’s sick, and we know she’s not right, and we know that she can’t possibly work through what is bothering her at this point in time. She’s upset, she’s beside herself, and she’s not sure what is going to happen with her life. She’s not sure she’s feeling all right, but she doesn’t know what is happening to her mind and her body. And she has no idea she is the only person who can help her own family find her missing granddaughter.
What will happen to Dina if it comes out that she knew how to save Abby but didn’t let them know in time? Her mind is not good right now, but she will be lucid enough at some point to realize she is the key they need to find her grandchild. And if she remembers and it happens to be too late at this point? She won’t be able to live with herself.
And that’s not something she can handle. There is nothing that anyone can do at this point to help her figure things out, and we aren’t sure that anyone can do anything to help her at this point. And how does this all work out? We don’t know, but we do know Abby can’t survive without her grandmother, and her grandmother can’t survive if she lets something happen to her lovely granddaughter without realizing it.
